The house and amenities were great. The area was very quiet and the village seemed to of just updated all their walking trails with new mulch. We were very pleased and will likely return.
Beautiful home, fantastic neighborhood. Felt like a hidden gem just outside of Asheville. Walking trails for dogs in a quiet neighborhood. Great views and very comfortable setup. Host was extremely responsive and helpful.
Great location! Close to many shops and restaurants in Black Mountain and a short 20 min drive to downtown Asheville. Has everything you could need for your getaway!
The Roost is a lovely home with all the amenities you need. We loved sitting on the porch in the evenings. It is so close to the downtown area where we dined at several restaurants. Great stay. Extremely easy to connect with host.
What a delightful getaway staying at the Roost in the trees.I would highly recommend the house and the little village of Cheshire. What a special place.
The Roost is a wonderful treehouse to stay in in such a lovely neighborhood. Comfortable and quietly situated among the trees in Black Mountain. No thanks to the owners for allowing dogs and for making everything so comfortable for all of us.
The house was just as described and in pictures too! It had everything we needed. The owners thought of everything! It was a quiet neighborhood and could walk to a few restaurants down at entrance of neighborhood. We would definitely stay again at the Roost! It was our first time at this house and Black mountain. Thank you for thinking of everything.

Wonderful location, close to everything! The house had a musky smell and the furniture was small and uncomfortable. The bed in the master bedroom was very squeaky. There are a ton of stairs and the home did not seem very well maintained.
We absolutely loved the location of this property. The entire neighborhood was beautiful and the house was located very close to everything we wanted to visit. Also, there is a Black Mountain YMCA located right around the corner for those who like to exercise. The bed in the master was very comfortable and we got great sleep while we stayed.
This property is special! Three floors and a loft. Well maintained and supplied. We didnt want for anything. Trails right out the door are convenient and just a short walk to great restaurants.
Great owners who are very responsive. The house seems to never end and was stocked very well. If you have issues with stairs, this may not be the house for you. The area is beautiful and close to everything while still being tucked away.
We really enjoyed our stay in Black Mountain! Loved the house and the location - Cheshire Village is so beautiful. We personally liked staying outside of Asheville. It was just a short 15 min drive in and much more peaceful than staying in downtown Asheville. We also spent a good bit of time visiting shops and restaurants in downtown Black Mountain which was very close to the vacation property. Emily was easy to work with and responded quickly. We would definitely stay there again when back in the area and will recommend to friends and family.

Thanks for staying, we love the quiet neighborhood and the lovely paths, playground and creeks! Hope to host you again! The Nails
We stayed for a week with four adults and two dogs.
Pros: the location is great. We loved the paths around Cheshire. Everyday we’d find new paths to walk the dogs. There’s a cute tiny “village” with a small grocer and a couple of restaurants that you can walk to. The YMCA is walkable and amazing. $14 a day. The house is cute. It’s very quiet and good for sleeping. The kitchen was nicely stocked.
Cons: The family room/kitchen is very small. Too tight for everyone to sit comfortably at the kitchen table without hitting your head on the fireplace mantle. The sofa was nice but only 3 people could watch a movie unless you rearranged the furniture. We had friends in to play cards and there is really no room for more than 4 people. The water pressure is terrible. Took forever to get wet. Also be aware they are building a house next door! The banging was very unpleasant. Hopefully it goes up quickly. Finally, there is only one small parking spot. The construction workers were blocking us in or taking our spot.
The owner was responsive when we called her.
Perfect stay. Generous hosts. Easy communication. Is much better than photos, which were really good.

Towels were damp and smelled like mildew prior to use. My son’s sheets had visible mold on them. Electrical was spotty (lights/fans randomly turned on minutes after switch was turned on). Lights flickered several times (no storm and not observed at other nearby properties).
