We had a wonderful stay! The host was very attentive and even left welcome gifts for us. They thought of everything for a great experience including decorative lighting in the trees while we relaxed on the porch and in the hottub at night.

This cabin was perfect for our honeymoon! Candi and Ron made everything so easy and welcoming. The location is perfect - secluded enough for privacy but an easy drive to Asheville or Black Mountain. Would love to come back in the future!

Timber Ridge was the most welcoming place we have stayed at. The cabin was exceptionally clean and the kitchen well equipped. We enjoyed sitting on the porch by the fire pit in the evening reading and listening to the night sounds. It is a very quiet, private, and peaceful place. The bed was comfy and the bathroom supplied with all the essentials, including plenty of towels.We have stayed in many vacation rentals and have never had the host reach out to us in the way Candi and Ron did. It was evident that they wanted to make our stay special. We will definitely book with them again when we are in the Asheville area and highly recommend Timber Ridge to anyone who wants to visit the area.

This house is a hidden gem! This was I believe our 3rd stay at Timber Ridge and as per the norm, Candi and Ronnie were excellent hosts. Before our visit Candi reached out to ask what type of creamer we would like and to our delight it was waiting for us in the fridge. The house is spotless and oh so comfy cozy. If you are looking to get away from it all, this is the place!!

Everything from check in to check out was absolutely perfect! The house was so cute and charming. No cheesy decor or cheap bedding! The sheets were super soft. Comfy, adjustable air bed which was great for my back even with multiple herniated discs and previous back surgery. Extra blankets galore. Even the pillows were awesome! Kitchen well stocked. Hot tub extremely clean and well maintained. We were so impressed and pleased. The location was great as well! Far enough away from the Asheville hustle and bustle to relax peacefully but close enough to jump right into it if desired. Great privacy as well! Hostess, Candice, is a GEM and stayed in close contact but allowed us to enjoy peacefully! We will most definitely be back! Thank you!!

Perfect mountain home experience!

Absolutely amazing experience! Hosts went above and beyond to make our stay the best possible. Asheville, black mountain. Chimney rock and lake lure are all within 20-30 min drive. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything about this rental home is 5 stars, so much we keep coming back. I've stayed here with various family members 4 times in a year's time and already have another reservation for August. Best location for privacy and relaxation while just minutes away from Black Mountain & Asheville. Home away from home, beautiful & clean with wonderful hosts, Candice & Ron are excellent hosts!

Perfect for those wanting a retreat from stress. Hosts very thoughtful, with an arrival treat and checkins to ensure all was okay. Cleanest rental we’ve ever experienced. WiFi limitations aren’t an issue if you’re there for true R&R.

This property was perfect for our family New Years getaway. Property is nestled in the woods on the side of a mountain, great views, especially the sunsets. Super clean and the beds were fantastic. The kitchen was stocked for anything you may need and it was nice to have spices, foil and other necessities for cooking. Owners were fantastic to communicate and answer our questions about the area. Hot tub was a great bonus-especially after we hiked Chimney Rock. Location was great to head over to Lake Lure and Asheville. We had a wonderful stay.

Absolutely amazing!

I cannot say enough great things about our stay! The views were amazing. Perfect location. 30 min to Asheville 15 to Black Mountain. The attention to detail, was above and beyond! They have everything you need. The house was clean and beautiful. You can relax in the hot tub and watch the sunset.. it was just PERFECT!!! We will definitely be back!

Western NC Visit

We arrived Thursday afternoon for a 5 night stay. Very pleasantly surprised to find bottle of Biltmore wine, chocolates and fresh flowers on the counter. The house was unbelievably clean, comfortable furniture, bed was super nice and the kitchen had everything you could want. Had a great weber grill on back deck. But the best of all was the hot tub! We enjoyed it every night the colorful LED lights in the trees are a real plus. When visiting make sure to visit the Biltmore estate and get take out at "Smokey and the Pig" wonderful BBQ. We are definitely planning a return visit. Thanks Candi and Ronnie.

Magical Memorial Weekend Getaway

This is our second stay at this immaculate cabin with great views. It was my husband's birthday and his one request was to be able to watch the Indy 500 on NBC. We remembered from our last visit that was the one station that was not available, so we contacted Candice & Capt. Ron and asked if they could get it for us. Capt. Ron made it happen and we had a wonderful, relaxing day in the cabin while the rain fell outside. Great proximity to Black Mountain & Asheville, yet quiet and private. Candice and Ron are fantastic hosts! We will be back!

This was the perfect location for a long weekend getaway to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Everything was clean, was well stocked with everything you need to cook a dinner, bed was comfortable and the hot tub was a great addition! Candice was great to work with, provided all the information we needed ahead of time and even called to make sure there were no problems with the code to get in. They even left a small gift for my wife! We will be back again, and we highly recommend this property!

The Great Escape

I can not say enough good things about this property . When I was looking for a place my intention was something private and secluded! This was exactly what I was looking for! The owners have everything you need for your stay! Kitchen is well stocked and everything was very clean! This is my new favorite place and I will be back! I can"t say enough about this wonderful home-and that is what it feels like-a HOME! The hosts-Ron and Candi have thought of everything for their guests! They left us some yummy treats, and coffee creamer.It is a gorgeous cabin and decorated beautifully and you feel treehouse vibes! Outside you are perched above the road and entrance with a covered deck. The front has a fire table and we used every single day. At night they have a system that projects colorful fairy lights onto the trees! Magical! The side covered deck has the hot tub and the gas grill is located off that side as well.The driveway has level parking but it is a steep-ish walk from there to the cabin. Don't let that deter you from booking this lovely spot!Exceptionally clean!!! The woods used inside vary between dark & light so that the interior is cozy not dark. Everything you need is provided. The kitchen is modern and the hosts have thoughtfully left items needed: spices, paper products, foil, cookware, utensils, plates, coffee maker. Just bring your groceries!There are 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths & a lovely loft space. There are 2 full baths as well. Another feature is that they have labeled all the light switches so that you know what you are turning on and off. No guess work!There are some road noises during the day-so much has been destroyed and being rebuilt. Take a drive and see what WNC is dealing with-the landslides are hard to imagine. There is much to see and do so come stay & play!

Serene, peaceful stay - LOVED Timber Ridge!

Our experience at Timber Ridge was more than we could've hoped for! The pictures don't do the cabin justice. It was a perfect getaway in the woods that is close enough to town for a quick run to the store or dinner and near so many beautiful hiking spots. We absolutely loved how serene and private the raised porch was - perfect place for coffee each morning. The cabin with stocked with all of the basics we needed. Candice was incredibly communicative and helpful. She provided suggestions for food, sights, and things to do and was so considerate when reaching out. Best experience I've had with a rental! If you're looking for a peaceful getaway that is close to Asheville, I can't recommend this cabin enough. You won't regret it!

Perfect Getaway

We had the best visit! The house was so clean and well stocked. Check in was a breeze and Candice and Ron were wonderful hosts! There was a note, flowers and chocolates awaiting us upon arrival. Location was perfect to easily get to Chimney Rock / Lake Lure, Ashville and Black Mountain. We watched the beautiful sunsets every night from the porch and hot tub, I would highly recommend staying here for a weekend getaway!

Winter Stay

Beautiful property. We stayed in the winter and our outdoor time was limited to the hot tub. Very nice property and it met our needs. We’d love to come back in the summer to fully enjoy the area more.

Sharing our love of the mountains just seemed natural and so, it is our pleasure to offer our guests a pleasing getaway experience. We built almost every inch our "mountain retreat" ourselves, putting thought and care into its design and build.
Ronnie loves to watch the mountain scene from the Captain's seat of a small plane and has made a life hobby of travel and "never meeting a stranger."
Candice loves to be outdoors in "Discovery Mode" with Lacey, our Shih Tzu mix, or interacting in this fine community. There is so much to experience in our local mountain regions! And it's our pleasure to share our happy place and know of the positive experience it gives to our honored guests.
