Timber Ridge is about a 20 minute drive to downtown Asheville, a scenic, 15-minute drive to Black Mountain and just a 15 minute drive will take you to I-40 or the parkway where so many adventures begin! Whether you feel like hiking Mt. Mitchell, Chimney Rock State Park, Looking Glass Falls or sitting on the rocking-chair porch at Mt. Pisgah after having a nice meal, you will be surrounded in beauty. The Great Escape

I can not say enough good things about this property . When I was looking for a place my intention was something private and secluded! This was exactly what I was looking for! The owners have everything you need for your stay! Kitchen is well stocked and everything was very clean! This is my new favorite place and I will be back! Thank you Captain Ron and Candi for the great escape!

This house is a hidden gem! This was I believe our 3rd stay at Timber Ridge and as per the norm, Candi and Ronnie were excellent hosts. Before our visit Candi reached out to ask what type of creamer we would like and to our delight it was waiting for us in the fridge. The house is spotless and oh so comfy cozy. If you are looking to get away from it all, this is the place!!

Winter Stay

Wonderful Home

Excellent accommodations for two couples. We enjoyed a long weekend stay and wished it could have been longer. The house was very clean and had all the amenities we could ask for. It is close to Black Mountain and Asheville for shopping, dining and numerous breweries.

This property has become our go to when we visit Asheville. It gives a private place to relax, but close to town. It is very well kept and has all the amenities needed as well as some special extras. Very worth it.

Relaxing Holiday in the Mountains

We had the most relaxing vacation right after the holidays! The house was perfect for our family of 3. Close enough to everything yet far enough to just chill. The house was super clean, well equipped, and the owners were so nice and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again!

Magic Treehouse

We had a lovely relaxing vacation and your home was the perfect place to launch from and end the day. Very private, nestled into the green mountainside. Enjoyed the relaxing hot tub at the end of days spent hiking. Loved sitting on the deck and viewing the fog-shrouded mountains.

Fabulous Fall Getaway

My husband and I decided to vacation in the NC mountains and found this wonderful, extremely clean cabin with beautiful views near Black Mountain. The owners (Candice & Ron) did a great job of communicating. We highly recommend this property and we will definitely be back!

Hostess with the Mostest!

Although my stay wasn't long, the hosts provided us with a top-notch experience in their beautiful cabin home! They were very accommodating down to the smallest details. The cabin is beautiful, especially if you want to chill, but also close to plenty of things to do. I will definitely be back!

Everything about this rental home is 5 stars, so much we keep coming back. I've stayed here with various family members 4 times in a year's time and already have another reservation for August. Best location for privacy and relaxation while just minutes away from Black Mountain & Asheville. Home away from home, beautiful & clean with wonderful hosts, Candice & Ron are excellent hosts!

Perfect Getaway

We had the best visit! The house was so clean and well stocked. Check in was a breeze and Candice and Ron were wonderful hosts! There was a note, flowers and chocolates awaiting us upon arrival. Location was perfect to easily get to Chimney Rock / Lake Lure, Ashville and Black Mountain. We watched the beautiful sunsets every night from the porch and hot tub, I would highly recommend staying here for a weekend getaway!

A Great Mountain Cabin Retreat!

This cabin had all of the comforts of home. The beds were comfortable with beautiful linens! The kitchen was well stocked with amenities to prepare any meal. The entire cabin was pristine! What a wonderful getaway. We hated to leave. The owners were gracious and welcoming. We left well rested!

Mountains in the Spring

This beautiful cabin has a gorgeous mountain view, rocking chairs on the front porch, was surrounded by woods, peacefully private, and filled with thoughtful amenities, was just an ideal place for my wife and I to enjoy spring in the mountains. Convenient to the city, yet situated in the country, the cabin offers a beautiful backdrop where beautiful memories can be made. We hope to be back soon.

Another wonderful weekend

Third time to stay at Timber Ridge this year and we continue to enjoy everything about it. Great private location but only minutes away from shopping and great restaurants. Such a peaceful atmosphere and the home is beautiful. Candice and Captain Ron are wonderful hosts...they take great care to make you feel welcome and ensure you have everything you need. Sharing our love of the mountains just seemed natural and so, it is our pleasure to offer our guests a pleasing getaway experience. We built almost every inch our "mountain retreat" ourselves, putting thought and care into its design and build.
Ronnie loves to watch the mountain scene from the Captain's seat of a small plane and has made a life hobby of travel and "never meeting a stranger."
Candice loves to be outdoors in "Discovery Mode" with Lacey, our Shih Tzu mix, or interacting in this fine community. There is so much to experience in our local mountain regions! And it's our pleasure to share our happy place and know of the positive experience it gives to our honored guests.
