Whether you're planning a reunion or a multi-family vacation, this Sunset Island townhome boasts something for everyone! There's no finer home within the gates of this prestigious community than 7 Fountain, a spacious, five-bedroom townhouse on a quaint, tree-lined street.

Each room is furnished down to the last detail, whether it's the elegant main bedroom or the large dining area with a long, 10-seat table. The expansive kitchen offers top-of-the-line appliances, including a double oven (the top oven is currently non-functional for 2024), while the comfortable living room and adjoining sitting area make a great space to relax together - all within steps of three large balconies.

Additional luxuries include six TVs (including a 3D TV with a Blu-ray), free WiFi, a private washer/dryer, parking for three cars, and an outdoor shower. So get ready to enjoy Ocean City's famous sunsets, all while being spoiled by Sunset Island's indoor/outdoor pools, bay front beaches, and more.

Sunset Island is Ocean City's premier gated community, boasting luxurious amenities in an ideal location that's central to all this resort town has to offer. This private, 37-acre island sits only three blocks from the Atlantic Ocean and is surrounded by the bay on three sides, giving you tranquil scenery throughout the day and breathtaking views at sunset. Facilities include indoor and outdoor pools, a clubhouse, shoreline walking paths, bayside beaches, interactive fountains, and much more - all just a short drive from the Ocean City Boardwalk and world-class golf.

Things to Know
A building registration fee includes six facility passes and three parking passes. Additional facility passes are $75 per pass, per person per week. Children three and under do not require a facility pass. The fees are the following: Winter (January 1 - April 30 and October 1 – December 31) = $100. Spring (May 1- May 23) = $150. Summer (Sunday BEFORE Memorial Day, May 24 to Saturday AFTER Labor Day, September 12) = $200
Ocean City has adopted a noise control ordinance that makes it unlawful to cause or permit noise levels which exceed those established by the Department of the Environment of the State of Maryland (COMAR 26.02.03.02) or are in violation of Chapter 30, Article V of the Town Code. It shall be a violation of this agreement and grounds for eviction under Maryland law if these noise levels are exceeded as a result of activity on this property. Ocean City has other noise ordinances, which are criminal offenses if violated.

Parking notes: There is parking available for a fee and charges will apply for 3 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Terrific Stay at Beach House

Great home in a terrific location! The house was very spacious and well-kept. The common space in particular was great for hosting a large group. Our group got a ton of use out of the clubhouse and the private beach is beautiful to see the sunset from. Definitely check out the in-neighborhood ice cream shop!

Fabulous Location

There were 11 of us and the house was the perfect size. Everyone had a bed, it was clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. It was in a great location to stores, boat/jet ski rentals, restaurants and the beach! Sunset Island was an absolutely lovely community. The gym was great, yoga on the beach and lovely evening strolls.

Beautiful Home on Sunset Island

If you stay anywhere in Ocean City, MD. It should be on Sunset Island. Beautifully maintained private neighborhood. I reviewed several of the listing for this community and we were very impressed with all of the furnishings for this house. The rooms were not overcrowded and everything worked well in the home. We will be back.

Truly, this house went beyond our expectations. I was a little skeptical when I booked due to the negative reviews sprinkled here and there. But I’m not sure why there were any. The amenities and location alone are well worth it. Just a heads up though since I didn't know ahead of time, if you have a party of 6 or more people, you will have to buy extra pool/ gym passes. They are $70 pp. we needed up just splitting the family up on pool days. Wasn’t too big of a deal but we weren’t spending the extra for more passes. Overall, truly an amazing place.

Was a little disappointed, outside shower did not work,refrigerator leaked water and when we made Vacasa aware there was nothing done about it. would have thought with all the sand from the beach that a outdoor shower with be a priority. Just a inconvenience with the children.

Great location but home needs work

This home sits in a great neighborhood but it needs a lot of tending to. Home is beautiful but Vacasa does not tend to it. We reached out for 4 days from the first day we got there and maintenance never showed up. We were never able to get the lock box opened for the keys and had to go in and out through the garage for 10days. There’s also no lights outback of the garage. The outdoor shower was broken, none of the balcony doors locked, there were broken chairs, not enough dressers to store your clothes, one of the bedrooms with bunk beds smelled strongly of urine, the vacuum was broken so we couldn’t use it, there was an old broom that barely worked but no dust pan. We would highly recommend staying on sunset island but not in this home. It’s a very nice house but not kept up.

House was a great space, the rental company not so much

The house was spacious. It was plenty big enough for 8 of us. But the rental company and/or cleaning company does nothing to help with the cleanliness or simple maintenance. I am still waiting on a call back from multiple phone calls I left during the week. The cleaning and overall upkeep of the unit was an absolute disgrace. Our family spent much of the first day cleaning everything in order to make it livable. I can only assume a previous renter had some type of party in the unit. The cabinets still had drinking games in them, and we found beer pong ping pong balls shoved into one of the flowers! Every shower needed to be bleached from all the mildew and grime build up. We quickly found out that there were no cleaning supplies for us to use which prompted a grocery store trip. Then we found the only vacuum in the house was completely busted. We did call the help line for Vacasa for maintenance issues and the cleaning issues. None of which prompted a return call.

Nice Home, Needs TLC, Vacasa check in horrible

I liked the conveniences in the area, and the size of the home. The pool was nice. The vents have not been cleaned in months, the one mattress cover was ripped, no bureaus in 3 of the bedrooms, no TP in the house, 3 trash bags for a week. $6,700 I would expect a more comfortable stay with at least 1 roll of TP in each bathroom to start. The Vacas check-in process was horrible, closing the office from 11 to 3 PM, everyone lined up, started letting people in and then told everyone to get out. People at the end of the line then snuck in the front of the line as they set up a table. Then announced your rentals may not be ready due to cleaning behind schedule. Our 4 PM check-in and still cleaners there, did not get into the house until 6:30. I will be contacting Vacasa. Our AC broke also most likely due to every vent needing to be cleanted.

Nice house but issues

We love Sunset Island; we have stayed there in different units several times. This house was really nice and spacious, but we encountered several issues. First, the garage code does not open the garage door because the outlet that the garage door opener is plugged into does not work. The result was that every day we had to manually open/close the heavy garage door and figure out ways to go around to the front to access the house and lock/unlock access to the house itself. We saw this on a previous comment, but we hoped it would be fixed. It was not. We called maintenance to get it fixed on the day we got there (Saturday) around 4pm. They didn’t come until Monday, and they gave 5 minutes notice before they came, which was at 10:30 in the morning when we happened to be at the beach. I didn’t get the call in time because we were on the beach, so no fixing it. I called the service person back and left a message. He never returned the call. Second, there were hardly any hooks to hang bathing suits. Finally, the toilet paper holder downstairs was broken.

It was disappointing. We have stayed at several places in Sunset Island and this was the worst. Extremely dirty, stained carpets and floors. One air vent in a bedroom was hanging by a screw and another was missing the air vent altogether and there was a paper over it, with slits cut in it. Missing a smoke alarm in bedroom, moldy shower with no shower curtain, we had to buy one. Gas grille had no gas, we had to go and purchase it. The shower outside had been turned off because it leaked.

Overall we had a great vacation with our family and friends due to the amenities of sunset island. We were disappointed in the condition and utilities of the house as well as lack of response to our tickets. The bottom carpeted stairs are badly stained. The garage code did not work and coffee pot would not work either. I called and placed a ticket on Monday regarding the garage and it was never fixed and no follow up provided. I called and placed a ticket Tuesday on the coffee pot and it was never replaced or follow up received. This is all with calling back everyday for follow-up and it was said they would reach out to the house manager and house keeping. I appreciated the sheets and linens being included however they were very uncomfortable. Recommend to use your own. Very disappointed in the house.

Sunset Island was perfect with it's location, closeness to the ocean beach, 3 private Bay beaches, walking path, play fountain, and restaurant and market cafe. We would stay at Sunset Island again just in a different house. The house however needed some help. Floors were so dirty our feet got black in bare feet, even on our first night there within minutes after arriving. Most opted to wear socks or flip flops the remainder of the time. Also had quite a few broken things like floor slats, outside front porch chair, and smoke alarm removed on the top floor just to name a few. Three bedrooms (1st floor and two bunk rooms on 3rd floor) are also in need of dressers for storage space. Most inconvenient thing with the house is the entry and exit system. You must park on the garage pad in the back of the house where no code is given to enter through the garage door but must enter in the front of the house with keyed entry. Someone always had to enter or exit through the front while leaving all others in or out the back.

A great community spot!

Overall, it was a nice spot in a very convenient community. The place was not the cleanest and we did not have any blankets for the first night, but the management company delivered them the next day. Without those two issues, it would have been great.

Although this location was in an ideal spot with great amenities in the clubhouse, the home itself was not clean and not updated. The pictures online did not match the actual property. We did not have enough beds for the people staying in the property because the description was inaccurate. Overall, OCMD was amazing but our stay in this home was less than ideal.
