Aloha! Welcome to our freshly updated oceanfront condo located on the "Garden Island" Kauai.
- The condo offers stunning views of the culturally significant Wailua Bay and the lush mountain range beyond. My grandparents’ home, the condo was sold, with regret, in 2016, but joyfully reacquired by us in 2021! This 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo is truly steps from the beach, as well as a short walk to fine dining and shopping. Completely remodeled and furnished in 2021, this condo has all the amenities including custom cabinets, wide plank oak flooring, designer-picked furniture, and art. This condo provides you with everything you need to relax and enjoy your island stay! *This condo does Not back to the parking lot.
- The complex, appropriately named Lae Nani, meaning "beautiful face", boasts abundant tropical foliage and is nestled on the coast of Kauai's Wailua Bay. Wailua Bay is one of the most sacred places on the island and the ancestral home of the Hawaiian Royals. The stone remains of a sacred temple, known as a "heiau”, sit on the edge of this property, along the coast, and is still visited and used by local Hawaiians today.
- Lae Nani has a private gated parking lot, a tennis court, a heated saltwater pool, gas grills, a beach, Keiki (children's) pool, fish, turtles, good snorkeling, and the occasional "endangered" native monk seal.
- Lae Nani is located on the east shore in the town of Kapa’a. Kapa'a is centrally located on the island putting everything within easy driving distance, including the airport which is only 10-minutes away. In short, everything you need for a perfect getaway to paradise!

This condo does Not have A/C - We rely on the Tradewind and ceiling fans to provide cool breezes throughout the apartment. The jalousie windows in the bedrooms as well as in the ocean-facing living room can be opened to allow for the flow of air. Kauai is in the tropics, and it does get warm in the summer, but we have never felt A/C was necessary and would detract from the Hawaiian experience as well as the island's sweet scent of plumeria.

Great for 2 couples

Rare find to have two master bed/bath suites, and even more rare to find one decorated so nicely & comfortable! There were so many small things that helped make it delightful, eg plenty of hangers & towels, kitchen with nice cookware, spices, etc, many hooks in bed & bath to hang towels, clothes, great W/D, clear directions for electronics... All of that on top of a great view/lanai & very comfortable beds, along with superb communication with Kara. Definitely recommend!

Amazing Trip in Kauai !

We were so happy that we stayed at this beautiful condo. We could not have asked for a better location for our first time on the Hawaiian Islands. Kara is a very personable host and was very patient and thorough answering my many questions prior to our stay. The condo is tastefully decorated and the pictures are exactly as we experienced it. The grounds are meticulously manicured and reminded us of a mini botanical gardens. The pool is spacious and very clean with lots of chairs. The beach on the property is wonderful. In fact, we decided that we considered it one of the top 5 beaches that we visited on the entire island due to its privacy and access. Great for little ones in the keiki area. Also saw many fish without snorkeling since the water was very clear. The location on the coconut coast was ideal if you want to be able to drive from one side of the island to another side for the many activities. We also loved the Marketplace that is a five minute walk from the condo with a variety of unique shops and a few restaurants. Try the Lava Lava Club.So much fun! The sunrises are an absolute bonus at this location. We are already talking about staying here again when we come back to this beautiful island.

Beautiful up to date condo with great views of the ocean

The listing photos do not do justice to the experience we had at the condo during our stay. The house has two king beds and they are very comfortable. The Browns are very responsive with any communication. There are great eateries in a walkable distance to grab a snack or meals. We will definitely book the condo next time we are in Kauai.

We stayed in this lovely condo mid- August 2025. We enjoyed the beautiful view from the living area and deck. The furnishings and decor were very nice. There were also beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, towels, coolers,and some snorkeling gear. We used these items while there and they were very beneficial in contributing to the enjoyment of our stay. Because there was no air conditioning, I would not stay there again. Even though the outside temps were in the mid 70's, which is mild compared to the heat in Arkansas at this time if year, it was incredibly uncomfortable inside, especially the bedroom. My husband and I both struggled to sleep due to being very uncomfortable at night. I was exhausted from lack of sleep during the entire trip. We did request additional fans and the owner did bring those, so we had 3 fans in our bedroom plus the ceiling fan. We Were also given instructions on how to reset the direction of the ceiling fan. We did this, but I really couldn't tell if it changed anything about the coolness. In order to attempt to keep it cooler we would close all the Window coverings to keep the sun out, but that took away the view and made the place look dark and gloomy. We cooked one meal (breakfast) and decided we wouldn't do that again due to causing the kitchen/ living area to heat up. There may be times of the year that this is not an issue, but for us the temperature and humidity level inside the condo was a huge factor in our ability to be comfortab

Kauai with long time friends

We had a beautiful 14 day visit with our friends in September. We really enjoyed the location of the VRBO as it was walking distance to many local amenites such as the Passion Bakery, Napali Brewing, Lava Lava and Coconut Marketplace. The airport and Costco were only a short drive away and we were at a good half-way point to Princeville, Waimea. We were also close to Kappa, and Poipu, where we were able to enjoy the turtles and the scenic beach hikes. The VRBO was very clean and had 2 comfortable spacious bedrooms. The kitchen was well appointed, and had everything that we needed. The lanai had an incredible view of the ocean, where the men spotted a turtle in the surf. The beaches were fabulous to have our daily soak and the grounds was kept immaculate by the maintenance crew. Staff at the facility were extremely friendly and helpful. The only thing we would have liked was more comfortable furniture in the living room. However this would not be a dealbreaker to not return, and we're already thinking of our next vacation to Kauai. We would definitely come back to Wailua and this vacation rental. Thanks for an awesome stay!!!

Wonderful vacation rental!

We can’t say enough positive things about Kara’s beautiful home in Kauai. We spent 7 nights on a recent trip and were so impressed by the condo community and Kara’s home. What we loved: - It’s a super clean, tidy, and organized home - The furnishings are all seemingly new and in great shape - From the books in the bookshelf, art on the wall, and decor throughout the home, you’ll feel like you stepped straight into a Pottery Barn magazine. - Lae Nani is a beautifully run condo community. It’s quiet, well maintained, lush, and has a gorgeous (warm!) pool. - The view!!! Waking up each morning to the beach and ocean view is incredible. Listening to the waves crashing at night and gazing up at the stars was one of our favorite things. - Lae Nani beach is a little treasure. It’s got a Keiki pool for your children and mellow-ish waves for you. We also found it to be a fun beach for beachcombing. - Can’t beat the location in Kapaa. Centrally located to reach both the south and north sides of the island, with plenty to offer in Kapaa/Wailua (biking, great eats, reasonably priced grocery stores, and family friendly beaches like Lydgate nearby) It’s a true gem of a property and one that we hope to be lucky enough to visit again on a trip to the Garden Isle!

The moment we walked into Kara's condo we knew we were in for a fabulous stay. The view from the patio was breathtaking, the rooms were perfect to support 2 couples and the kitchen was so well appointed we thoroughly enjoyed all meals in. Too many special decorating touches to list but the condo was top notch. The grounds of the property were also gorgeous. We took the 2-minute walk to the beach and/or the pool every morning then enjoyed coffee on the lanai. Couldn't be happier with our stay. Kara was also so responsive and helpful. Truly a 5-STAR stay.

Kauai Paradise

We stayed in this unit for 5 weeks during our Kauai visit and could not have been more pleased. It was everything we expected and more! The view was spectacular, with surfers frequenting the waters, and we enjoyed daily morning coffee and many dinners on the lanai. The unit itself was very comfortable and very nicely decorated with many island touches and the kitchen was outfitted with everything we needed. The mid-island location was ideal for both north and south activities. Kara was extremely responsive and it was comforting to know that she was there for advice or resolution. Overall, we were super happy with this property and would readily book there again!

Perfect stay!

Beautiful condo with a wonderful view! Condo was even better than the pictures and hotel quality, which was perfect for our stay. Nice beach, very convenient and short walk to restaurants and shops. Loved the restaurant on the beach next door where we chose to have cooked breakfast most days and drinks in the evening. Great location for driving around the island as well!

Beautiful, relaxing, dying to go back!!!

I'll admit I'm a skeptic about listings with gorgeous photos and claims about how wonderful everything is. Yeah...sure, I think to myself. Well this skeptic was wrong! We absolutely LOVED it! I had stayed at a nearby property in April and walked past it, so I knew it was a great location with beautifully maintained grounds. I've stayed at other properties that turned out to be party-centric, and this is a much mellower and friendlier crowd; I appreciated the expectation of quiet hours from 10pm to 8am. I didn't realize just how great the beach is there; I discovered it's more protected due to the shape of the beach. The unit itself was AMAZING. Very clean, fully stocked, tastefully decorated, comfy beds, and with a FABULOUS view. If a person is sensitive to heat, they may want to consider staying in a place with air conditioning (likely a hotel rather than a condo on Kauai). There is a nice breeze in the living room and the fans are great, however if a person is heat sensitive they might find it too warm if a fan isn't sufficient for them. All in all, I would highly recommend this and we would happily stay there again!!

We really made ourselves at home for our 10-day stay. The view, charm, comfort, and thoughtful details made this place easy to enjoy. The condo had everything we needed although my son would say air conditioning please. With that said there are many great ceiling and mobile fans. I also enjoyed the grounds, pool, beach and walking path nearby. Being in the water or outside under a palm tree in the heat of the day was super enjoyable. This is truly a special place. Dream vacation

This condo made us feel like we were on a dream vacation. The location is absolutely perfect, with the keiki beach, the pool and especially with the Coconut Market just 5 minutes away by foot, where you can dine and shop. A 5 minute drive will take you to all the necessities. The few times we stayed and cooked, the kitchen was fully stocked. No AC but never felt the need of it either, with the constant ocean breeze, and the ceiling fans. We slept like babies. Communication with host was easy. I truly wish we had never left. I hope we can come back in the future! Mahalo!
