We had a wonderful stay at this property. The property is located a little more than a mile from Harbor Springs which made it extremely convenient. It was nice to be able to go out for dinner or ice cream and not have to travel far. The property has an amazing view of Lake Michigan from the living room/front patio. There is an umbrella table and chairs in front where we ate all of our meals and enjoyed the view. The house itself is spacious and very clean. Unlike most rentals, the kitchen is extremely well stocked with every kind of utensil, bowl, spoon, etc. that you would need to make a meal. It made cooking enjoyable and easy. The master bath is even better than shown in the photos and we also enjoyed the king-sized bed in the master. The other bedroom had plenty of space with a queen-sized bed and spacious closets. The rest of the living space was comfortable, sparsely decorated (which I appreciated) and spacious.
The beach was a short walk down and across the street which made it easy to spend a couple of hours there, go back to the house for lunch, then return for the afternoon. You have to be cautious walking, though, because the road is narrow and many cars drive faster than they should. Cars would generally slow down when they saw us walking. The path down to the beach is steep and should be a consideration if anyone in your group is not steady on their feet. The beach itself is gorgeous. There is a deck with plenty of Adirondack -style chairs. It is a shared space with other association members but most of the time, we were the only ones there. If you enjoy walking or running along the beach, you are in luck. You can go for quite a long way and the beauty is breath-taking! I would recommend water shoes for swimming because the first several feet into the water have lots of large rocks which make it hard to walk out. Once you get beyond those, it is sandy. My husband and I used water shoes every time we went into the water. My daughter eventually got used to going out with bare feet.
There were many wonderful aspects of this property and our trip overall but probably the best part was getting to observe two bald eagles, which we could see when swimming in the water, flying and perching in the trees. They were amazing!
Overall, we would highly recommend this property and would feel lucky if we have the opportunity to return to it!
