Our family had a wonderful time at this property. Lots of things to do and very comfortable beds! Shower was spacious with great water pressure. Well stocked kitchen and linens. Big screen TV worked great for the rainy day movie. The lake was beautiful! Our host was very prompt and helpful!

Great location, well stocked, outstanding host

The host provided everything we could need. The house was the cleanest of any home rental we’ve ever experienced. We all loved the location and the lake was clean and clear. We watched shooting stars, caught fish, kayaked, and relaxed. It was a great trip!

Our early October stay was great. The weather was a little brisk, but the cabin was warm and we enjoyed making breakfasts and lunches there. The selection of water toys is pretty fantastic, but since we were well into fall, we ended up using a fishing boat we rented for most of our on-water activity. The cabin is well appointed. There really wasn't anything we wanted that we couldn't find - except we couldn't find a cover for a large pan, so we just used another pan. The shower is nice. The hot water never ran out. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of blankets, towels and pillows. We had a great time with evening fires after some brisk time on the water. I've spent a lot of time on Whitefish lake, and the cabin is right on one of the better Crappy holes in the lake. We didn't fish on this trip, but from past experience, you can do pretty well right from the dock.I have no real cautions about the property. It's on a corner of the lake that doesn't often get a lot of wind, so it's pretty nice spot to be on Whitefish. The hosts were very communicative and helpful. All in all, it's great place to stay.

Thanks Amy, for a fantastic first review! I’m so pleased you found everything you needed at the cabin; that was my goal as we stocked White Pines, always thinking “what can I save our guests from packing?” From foil to spices to nightlights for little ones, we hope the cabin can be a place of minimal packing and maximum relaxing. :) It’s kind of you to mention our responsiveness…I really do try to stick with my cell phone while guests are staying. I enjoyed hearing about your adventures and appreciate you sharing your wonderful photos. The sunset you captured was absolutely stunning!! (Future guests will find it added to the WPC gallery; I tweeted it too…It was a great one!)

Great Family Time

Our family loved staying at White Pines. We had beautiful weather at the end of August for one last summer getaway! Our family enjoyed kayaking, fishing, swimming, cornhole and axe throwing. We ended each of our evenings around the campfire enjoying s’mores. There’s nothing like family time! Thank you for sharing your cabin with us. It was perfect for our family!

Great week at Whitefish Lake

We loved our week at Whitefish lake in the White Pines Cabin. The hosts were AMAZING and available for the few quick things we needed. The cabin was just the right size and there were activities for everyone from boating, to paddle boarding to axe throwing to board games. The kitchen was well stocked and everything worked great. It was clean and comfortable both inside and outside. We all really enjoyed the week and would recommend it to anyone heading up that way. Thank you again for all the wonderful and memorable week!

Very clean and evening cabin that has basically everything we needed. All we had to bring was food and drinks. The property was excellent as well with a patio, fire pit, grills, and outdoor games. There were kayaks for kids and adults to go along with a Jon boat and a canoe. All were big hits. The water by the property was shallow and a good area to swim. There were also plenty of blue gill and perch that were caught right off the dock! There was an issue with the lake side garage for but the owners had already contacted us prior to our arrival and had moved what was in there to another building for us to access. Overall communication with the host was excellent. We highly recommend a stay at this property.

Northwoods vacation

This property is exactly as listed. The property was easy to find, had no steps to the lake and had indoor and outdoor space for everyone. The house is well stocked and the towels provided were fluffy- bath, kitchen and lots of nice towels for swimming/boating. The Wi-Fi was good and our cell phones had reception. We saw/heard lots of loons and the view of the lake was beautiful and ever-changing. Heidi was easy to reach and was quick to respond.

Family vacation 2022

The property is very well maintained, stocked and clean. They have so many things there for your family to do. Loved the kayaks, floating lily pad, fishing boat with trolling motor, outdoor fire pit with wood for smores. Indoors the boys loved the foosball table and darts.

Thank you, Raneau, for the kind review! I’m glad your family was able to relax and unwind during your week at White Pines. Having the kayaks and canoe there does make it very easy to explore the surroundings, especially with several fantastic kayaking routes right off the lake. The creek/waterway towards Virgin Lake is our family’s favorite!

A peaceful escape

The property was just as shows listed and the first thing we all noticed was the quiet surroundings. Kayaks were a huge hit not only the for teens but for adults too. The lake foam pad was a great treat to have to lay out on the water as well. My son Evan caught his biggest Musky ever on this lake so you can imagine the excitement. Heidi was a pleasure to work with throughout and we even got to meet a her husband and a few of their kids. This was a great VRBO experience and we look forward to doing it again. Don’t hesistate to book.

Thanks, Beata, for such a lovely review! Our family was SO excited when your son caught his musky — my husband said Evan’s smile was contagious as he related his story and showed off the pictures! What a highlight. We’d never ask for the awesome spot Evan caught his musky :) … but worth a mention to future guests: fishermen are regularly on the lake in the early morning and also evening just before sunset. Easy to note their locations and fish there next time you’re out. The local bait shop also loves to talk strategy, from bait to lures, they’ve been a source of good advice for us. Also glad you mentioned the Lily Pad float mat — we just added that mid-summer and have been pleased at the great response. So fun!

Great family getaway

We rented this cabin for a Fourth of July weekend getaway. The owner had thought of everything—the cabin was totally outfitted with plenty for our kids (9-13) including kayaks, canoe, fishing pier, games, movies and more. Conveniently located near Three Lakes, we had access to supplies but enjoyed that the cabin is off the beaten path. Whitefish Lake is gorgeous and quieter than nearby lakes. Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Thank you, Katie, for the great review! We’ve put a lot of care into stocking White Pines with the items that families might need - from charcoal to tons of K-cups to Ziploc bags! I’m so glad you felt well-provided for. You’re spot on that Whitefish Lake is quieter than the rest of the chain, which we love! Although it’s a 200-acre lake, especially during the week, it’s not uncommon to be the only boat on the water. Pretty neat. An extra thank you for texting your amazing sunset photos. :)
