About this property

Mont Saint-Michel Ecolodge

📌 "A bed and breakfast is much more than a place to sleep: it is an open door to authenticity, sharing and conviviality." 😘😘😘
Strengths of the property, being at the crossroads in the heart of a very attractive region, 30 minutes from Mont St Michel historically, 1.5 km from the Abbey of Notre-Dame d'Hambye which is a Benedictine abbey founded in the twelfth century on the banks of the Siena. It is located on the territory of the commune of Hambye, 5 minutes from the property, cultural, leisure, with the Normandy bocage, the sea and the beaches 20 minutes away, the passion for horses as a bonus.
The main house is a large authentic farmhouse of more than 2 centuries, renovated, full of charm where the calm, the fresh air promise 1 pleasant cosy stopover whether it is, a few nights, a weekend, or a holiday. We can accommodate 4 people, in a 42 m2 room.
Exceptional breakfast with cakes, organic eggs, jams, honey from nearby beekeepers, delicious breads and pastries, with the help of one of the best bakeries in the region, Le Fournil de l'Abbaye in Hambye, etc
Pets, we love them, they are welcome, no problem, as long as you have control of them, and your animals are socialised, we have indeed on the property cats, 2 dogs, breeding horses, 1 Jersey cow, 1 donkey.

The property is close to the largest beaches in Europe which stretch over 285 km with 370 km of coastline alternating beaches, harbours and cliffs, this unique peninsula lives to the rhythm of the famous highest tides in Europe, the famous tidal range, with the advantage for the beaches of being all sand. Our property has joined the LPO, The League for the Protection of Birds and Wildlife.

📌 "In a bed and breakfast, each awakening is an encounter and each breakfast, a storey to tell." 😊
To see, to do, to discover, visits, hikes, discoveries.
The typical Normandy bocage, activities, idleness, nice little restaurants, discovery of our local markets, vegetables, fish, seafood, organic poultry, cider, etc... Between land and sea, there are many leisure activities in the Manche. The richness of the region, its terroir, its history, its many abbeys, its gastronomy are within reach, horseback riding in the bocage, or on the beaches, sport fishing in the sea or in rivers, many golf courses for all disabilities, beginners or experienced.

Possibility to play sports with many accessories available on site, bike rental on the property alone or with the family.
For thrill-seekers, you can go sand yachting on the long sandy beaches of the English Channel, 285 km of coastline and beaches, the longest beaches in Europe, try kitesurfing, or one of the many water activities.
You can also visit the largest submarine in the world that can be visited in Cherbourg or stroll through the many markets in the region... In the English Channel, there is so much to see and do, you won't be bored!
Sport fishing at sea or in rivers, rare expeditions in FranceSport fishing for highly migratory fish, salmon, salmon trout, shad. Sport fishing for migratory fish and in particular salmonids is exciting. Fishermen will often have to spend many hours at the water's edge before finally getting "a touch" and starting an often very spectacular fight. The memory of each catch will be imperishable as well as the pleasure of releasing these mythical fish that are the bearers of dreams! With or without professional fishing instructors and guides, nature escapades will delight young and old, 2 km from the property, 2 rivers marked by the confluence of the Sienne and the Doquette. Suitable for the reproduction of migratory fish, these two rivers full of fish will delight fishermen, feed the surrounding meadows and dot them with small ponds or temporary wetlands rich in rare plant species in the region. Salmonids and Migrants - Unique in France
The many rivers of Le Mancho (Sée, Sélune, Siena, Saire and Vire) are home to amphihaline migratory fish, i.e. fish that can move from fresh water to seawater and vice versa to complete their life cycle. There are many migratory fish in the English Channel: shad, Atlantic salmon, sea trout, eel, lampreys, etc.

Racetracks - Racetracks - Events
Come and experience the excitement and suspense of horse racing in Normandy.
Horse racing, in Normandy: 43 racecourses for more than 300 annual meetings on flat or trotting speed races, a third of which are located in Lower Normandy. With its 43 racecourses, Normandy is the French region most focused on horse racing. Discover the tracks near you and some of their activities offering an exceptional show.

Special Golf, from the English Channel
Coutainville Golf Course – 18 holes – Par 68
Granville Golf Course, Bay of Mont Saint-Michel – 27 holes – Par 72
Golf de Bréhal – 9 holes – Par 31
For lovers of unspoilt coastlines, we have of course the seashores near the property, but also the Chausey Islands, (the local paradise) off the coast of Granville, the Normandy St Tropez. So, do you want to breathe the iodized air of the Channel? Walk with the bottlenose dolphins, the grey seals, emblematic, but wild "The Grail" Well, Flipper and his little friends "squat" along our coasts! . There are nearly 500 of them in the bay. They form the largest concentration of bottlenose dolphins in Europe. Their playground is the bay of Mont Saint-Michel! 550 km² or 3 times the size of Paris! These bottlenose dolphins find there a marine biodiversity full of fish to feed on, hence their sedentarization. "The luxury of a bed and breakfast is not the décor, but the soul you put into it."
