Lost Key: Large gulf-view family-friendly home! Short walk to the beach!

Summary:
Lost Key is a perfect family vacation home! Close to the dock, yet with views of the Gulf of Mexico, the home offers the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of Little Gasparilla. Enjoy a tandem kayak and stand up paddle-boards. The private beach is just a short walk down a sandy pathway.

Little Gasparilla Island is only accessible by boat. You can not drive to the island. There is a water taxi available and your rental includes an assigned dock slip as well!

The Space:
The home is uniquely designed to maximize the views, with the living area on the top floor and bedrooms on the first floor. A separate guest apartment downstairs with its own bath offers additional room for last-minute guests, teenagers who wish to sleep late or guests who like the idea of a cozy escape.

The master features a king, second bedroom has a queen, the downstairs guest suite has a queen and the bunk room has two doubles and one twin Maximum occupancy is 10 (including all children/infants). We can not exceed occupancy in the home. Please note that an extra occupant fee and manager pre-approval required for more than 6 guests. Rentals are limited to families and no events are permitted.

The home was completely renovated following the hurricane and features a brand new kitchen, all new furniture, and spacious screened porches upstairs and downstairs to maximize the breeze and offer more outdoor living area.

Beach chairs and a variety of beach toys and gear are available for guests' use. There is a downstairs outdoor shower and a downstairs party deck for evening get-togethers.

Please note this home does sleep 10, but the rates are based on 6 guests....an additional guest fee is charged for guests over 6, to cover additional cleaning and trash removal costs.

WiFi - Included

Pet Policy - pet-friendly with $100 non-refundable fee per pet (max 2 pets). Some breeds may be excluded due to insurance restrictions.

Kayak/paddleboards- one tandem kayak and paddle boards included. Waiver signature required.

Additional Guests - Rates are based upon 6 guests. An extra occupant fee of $20 per night for each additional person will be applied to the reservation. Groups larger than 6 will be permitted only if the home is being rented by a single family and manager pre-approval is required. Please be aware that occupant restrictions will include all children. We can not exceed 10 guests (including all children/infants).

Vacation Rental Damage Protection - $59 fee for “all risk” damage protection through Waivo.

Minimum Renter Age - 25

Boat Slip - included on dock number 82 (this is also where the water taxi will drop you off)

Complimentary Concierge- will meet you on the dock with a golf cart to assist with transporting your luggage and groceries to the home

Satellite TV - not available. Wifi is adequate for streaming via smart TV

Grill Type - gas

Coffee maker - Keurig and drip (filters provided)

Parking - $8/night ($10/night if you have a boat trailer) at Eldred's Marina where you meet the boat taxi

Holiday surcharges: applied for reservations for Independence Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, and Christmas/New Years timeframes. PLEASE NOTE THAT MINIMUM NIGHTLY STAYS MAY BE INCREASED FOR THESE DATES AS WELL.

Guest Access:
LGI is a bridge less barrier island. Enjoy the beautiful gulf beaches without the typical Florida crowds! There are no roads on the island. Just sandy pathways and beautiful nature. Please note that Google shows this property on the mainland, but it is not....it is on Little Gasparilla Island.

Other Things to Note:
Please evaluate your expectations before booking a stay on Little Gasparilla Island. If you are expecting a polished "resort" atmosphere, Little Gasparilla is decidedly more rustic. During periods of heavy rain or tropical storms, there may be standing water on the roadways, at the dock and around the house. This is a tropical environment with mosquitos, rust, power outages and other minor inconveniences. If you are expecting resort amenities and services, the island might not be for you.
