While it may seem daunting to some guests, it's great to hear that all you need is a regular SUV with AWD and to take air pressure out to 15psi and drive around 10-20 miles/hour based on traffic. It sounds like a beautiful and unique experience to drive on the sand and enjoy the surroundings. Getting groceries and restaurants may require a 4.5 mile 15-20 minute drive, but in exchange for this effort, you get to enjoy one of the most beautiful and unique opportunities to stay at The Hemingway, which is different than 99% of other beaches. Thank you for sharing your tips and insights, and we hope they will be helpful to future guests looking to experience "The Hemingway" in Outer Banks. The classic charm and grandeur of Outer Banks combined with modern amenities and spacious king bedrooms at "The Hemingway" sounds like the perfect retreat for a group gathering. It's great to hear that the gourmet kitchen had everything you needed to whip up great meals during your stay and that the property's reverse osmosis water system made it environmentally friendly and eliminated the need for water bottles. The indoor lounges equipped with TVs, a pool table, a piano, gas fireplaces, and more sound like a great space for your group to relax and unwind. It's fantastic to hear that everyone in your group loved the private pool, hot tub, and pool house with a bar, and that you spent hours lounging on the numerous decks with comfortable seating and breathtaking ocean views. The added bonus of private access to the beach through an elevated boardwalk and the opportunity to see the wild horses on your way down to the sand sounds like a memorable experience.
