My brother and I have been going to Lake Thunderbird in Cherokee Village during the summers since we were born. This was a great way to kick off Summer ‘23 with a relaxing getaway!

We enjoyed that it was lakefront. Even though we didn’t use the kayaks on the lake, we enjoyed the ducks and geese and the porch/deck. We cooked out and canoed 10 miles down the Spring River. The host was very accessible. We would stay there again.
Very quiet and peaceful and the best restful vacation I think I have ever had…. View was beautiful and calming and neighbors quiet and respectful, even had visits from geese and ducks and a little squirrel came to say hello … even enjoyed watching the baby blue tail lizard run and play (I love animals )❤️
We had a quick 4 day stop here and the house was exactly as pictured and described! Our only issue was with the wifi going out, but that was due to the weather so nothing anyone could control. :)
overall, very good. when we arrived the unit had not been cleaned. the owner was quick to respond and got the crew there within half an hour. i feel the cleaning crew rushed the job. otherwise, it was a great stay.
Inside was clean. Had all the dishes you would need. Also same for bath towels and wash rags. The deck needs to be repaired before someone falls through it. Couple spots are pretty bad. Would be nice if there was better access to the lake. Walking down beside the deck is treacherous. Overall it was a great experience and we would definitely stay there again.
We wanted to give our kids a couple of days away, and so we booked this cabin, its a duplex with plenty of room and we had great neighbors! The provided use of kayaks and my kids were obsessed! They had so much fun! The best parts for me as a mom, was washer and dryer literally provided, a full kitchen, they even has coffee, and most condiments and seasonings! So much consideration! It was so clean, i habe zero complaints. The only thing u may want to know, is the lake isnt good for swimming. Just kayaking, boating, fishing, everything else. BUT! 4 MINUTES AWAY IS BUFORD BEACH WHICH IS PERFECT FOR SWIMMING!
We got there and had a little issue with the lock and checking in but they were super fast about getting us in! We loved the place and our renting neighbors were very sweet too! Such a perfect place and had a blast on the paddle boat and kayaks! We will definitely stay there when we come back!!
The kayaks and quiet lake for morning fun on the water each day were a great combination. Great views from both the water and the deck of the house. The WiFi allowed for good connectivity to remote work as needed, and the refreshing a/c was especially welcome on some unseasonably hot days.

Everything was great for our trip it is family friendly affordable close to town but it was very peaceful will definitely use again
It was cold so we didn't get to utilize the Kayaks, But my boys did enjoy the paddle boat and even caught 2 fish while out there. The place was clean and I loved waking up in the upstairs bedroom with 2 huge windows looking over the lake.
The rental manager reached out to me via email and phone prior to the stay to ensure the waivers (water front property) were completed and I'd have access (code not given until paperwork i's dotted and t's crossed).
Access was seamless, cottage was a duplex, with wrap around deck. The unit is older and while in good shape would benefit from some TLC.
Checkout procedures were standard, take out the trash, etc. Cabin was situated on a beautiful lake.
Beautiful morning view of the lake, and the sunset was beautiful as well. The house was very clean, and had all the accessories we need for cooking. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Hardy.
Everything you need to cut off for a few days. Property manger was respectful and friendly, the whole place was peaceful. Exotic ducks that come up to you, and a lot of fish to catch. Paddle boat was my favorite!!
