Great spot for waking around the entire town. Centrally located to literally everything. Parked the car on Friday at noon and didn’t move it for three days.
The house was perfect for our stay, and we loved it. Very convenient location to downtown and the finish area of Historic Bridge Marathon. We appreciated the cleanliness of the house, lots of pillows, blankets towels - if needed. Beds were comfortable. Loved the history of 1850 T. Blade house. Although the furniture suited the era, a couple of pieces should be replaced or restored. I saw previous reviews for concerns of floorboard safety in upstairs bedroom, again realizing it's an 1850 house. It certainly is an old floor with imperfections, but it is safe.
We loved this house, it was perfect for exploring town and as a base for things further afield. Comfortable, thoughtfully and well stocked with lots of charm.
Enjoyed the house and its location very much. So much better than staying in a hotel. Eating meals in the screened in porch was lovely - beautiful grounds & neighbors property was lovely too!
The seemingly small cottage was deceptively large and well appointed on the inside. We also have a historic home so we loved the mix of original and contemporary additions. The screened in porch was especially delightful on a warm summer night. The location couldn’t be beat. Very pleased with all aspects!
My husband and two dogs and I really enjoyed staying at this property. Half the house seemed original and half an addition, and we appreciated staying in a part of history. We walked everywhere in town.
We absolutely loved our stay at Thomas’s beautiful historic home in St. Michaels! The house itself is stunning—full of character, yet updated with all the modern comforts we needed. It was spacious, clean, and had everything we could ask for to make our trip enjoyable. The location couldn’t have been better, Just a block away from charming shops, fantastic restaurants, and cozy cafes. Our favorite spot was the gorgeous waterfront park, just steps away, where we loved sitting by the water, taking in the view, and watching the boats come in. It was the perfect way to relax!Thomas was a wonderful host who was responsive, helpful, and made sure we had a seamless experience. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone visiting St. Michaels. Thank you for a fantastic getaway!
Wow! Property was great. Like steping back in time with all the amenities. Only 1 block from shops and restaurants. Just a few blocks to beautiful boats and park. Highly recommend

Steps to the waterfront, enchanting historical home. Excellent restaurants and cafes nearby. Eastern shore biking along scenic routes.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was just a short walk to the water and to all of the shops & restaurants in town. Theo's and Limoncello are fantastic. We love historic homes and this one was absolutely beautiful.
The house looked better than the pictures. It was very cozy and had everything we needed. It’s probably the best location for walking around town. Water pressure in the shower was decent, and the beds were comfortable.
Great location and a lovely place to stay. It lacks a bit in terms of cooking, no oil or spices, but that is about the only problem that I found.
Water pressure is fine, the beds are comfortable, the house is cozy and the communication is easy. This is a great option when staying in St M.
Quaint style 1800’s restored house 1block from main street
Awesome decor, clean, and fully equipped home. Just 1 block walk to center of town with shops, bars, and restaurants. Nice screened in porch on a quiet backyard.

About the host

I purchased and restored the nearby Thomas Harrison House (VRBO 198445) in 1991. As my interest in the area grew, I purchased and restored the Thomas Blades House as well as the Washington Melson House (VRBO 359766) and John Bruff House (844888).
Why they chose this property
The proximity (walking distance) to the beautiful St Michaels harbor and to almost everything in Town, quiet street location, the architecture and the historic character of the house and area.
What makes this property unique
Walking distance to everything...harbor, shops, restaurants, museums, library, tennis courts, community pool etc. Large screened porch off of the family room. Very comfortable and relaxing home.
