Cozy place to stay in Colorado Springs

Small quiet 2 br cottage. Very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the location on the westside away from most of the traffic. Having a washer and dryer was a plus. Would recommend.

Cute and centrally located

Clean 2br 1ba detached structure with parking a few feet away. Basic kitchen with electric burners and oven, dishwasher, and washer and dryer. Close neighbor starts up a diesel truck each morning at 7:30am, so no need for an alarm clock. Located a short drive from the garden of the gods with beautiful hiking and no parking fees. Really cute living space, well decorated and convenient to restaurants and breweries. I would definitely stay there again.

Buyer beware

I don’t know who wrote these previous reviews. This property is clearly not What it says. The owner called it an adobe . It’s a small stucco house in the middle of a run down area with trailers, tractors , garages and her home faces the door that you walk out of. There’s dog poop all over the fenced in yard. The inside of the house is very clean However the surrounding and lack of privacy do not make your stay comfortable. We left a day early . VRBO was contacted and the owner did not respond to VRBO or my emails. I really tried not to leave this review but she left me no choice. It says it’s dog friendly but she has 3 dogs that shared the small yard . When we went outside there was quite a bit of barking between her 3 dogs and our dog.

Perfect place for 2!

Communication with host was prompt and clear. Instructions to location and for entry, very precise. Water, snacks and some adult beverages were provided. Very appreciated! Overall, we will definitely try to stay here again!

Casa de Luz y Sombra is the second home on my property. I live in the old front house, and you’ll be staying in the new southwestern gem. I wanted to open this delightful home up for visitors due to its amazing proximity to the best parts of town. The home is three blocks from a picturesque trailhead, walking distance from historic Old Colorado City, a short drive to Garden of the Gods and Manitou Springs.

What makes this property unique

Casa de Luz y Sombra is unique because her location. For being in the heart of the West Side, your stay will feel rural. It’s a very quiet street, in a very safe neighborhood. Plus with your host living right on the property (but in a completely separate space), you’ll have a knowledgeable guide to help choose the absolute best experiences for you and your family (and the privacy you’ll need to enjoy yourself). The space is decorated with the utmost care providing a comfortable and clean stay. There is even a private yard for your furry friend!
