This properties previous owner worked for the World Health Organization and traveled all around the world. She made it a point to purchase a plant or small tree start from every place she visited and planted it on her property on south Lincoln. She cared for all these plants during the next ten years along with upgrading and remodeling much of the house, particularly the bathrooms and kitchen.
In 2016 sisters Patty Ediger and Rachel Phillipps were looking for a place to purchase together for shared vacations and work parties. The Phillipps living in California and the Edigers in Washington made this idea plausible.
The day we walked onto the property we fell in love and knew we had found our place. The Phillipps flew up to look at the place along with a dozen other places that our realtor had picked out. There were better houses, bigger houses but no place like this.
We knew Donna would have a hard time giving the place up so we made every effort to thank her for all the work she had done on the place and wanted to keep her vision alive.
After renting it out for 4 years and spending numerous evenings and dinners out on the patios we came to the conclusion that we wanted to share this beautiful place with as many people as possible. And we look forward to more connections with family and friends as we share the retreat in the middle of the city.
