About this property
Riverview Retreat
My husband and I have a wonderful artistically refurbished house on the river with a wrap around deck & open floor plan. The master has its own deck on the water. Private access to water for fishing.. We have 2 kayaks available as well as 3 bikes. There are yard games to use in the fully fenced yard. Great hiking close. There is a fire pit on the main deck. Great restaurants and shopping in Peoria Heights. Everything you need for a great stay. Enjoy a glass of wine on the main deck in the evening or a cup of coffee on the upper deck to watch the sunrise over the water in the morning. These owners have thought of everything, from snacks tucked in a coffee nook in the upper bedroom area, to every sort of outdoor feature you can enjoy in summer or winter. This was my favorite place to stay that I have ever been to. I felt transported to another culture of river cabin elegance with a unique flare. This is definitely a place to revisit again!
The property was amazing and we had everything there that we could have ever wanted. Plus, the host/hostess were awesome too!
We will definitely be going back there!
Great safe yard space for our dog- wonderful spacious bedrooms with great bedding- slept so well at night. Loved the coffee station to get us going in the morning and the living room overlooking the River was a great place for us to gather before our family holiday events. Nicely located between Chillicothe and Peoria. Would love to see it in the summer with all the trees in bloom! Love the outdoor porches and balconies outside!

I love hosting and will only provide a space that I would enjoyed I were traveling. Please come and enjoy this unique creative space we worked so hard on.
Why they chose this property
I’ve owned the house since 1995 with my first husband. He passed in 2015. The property needed a lot of help. I tend to be artistically inclined and drawn to the eclectic things you can do to bring old to new again. My current husband is a work horse and up for anything so if I had a vision of what I wanted he worked with me. I also have great artistic friends. The house became what I knew it could be and hopefully you will enjoy it. Come and relax, sit on the decks by the water, use the kayaks and bicycles provided. Yard games also and the yard is fully fenced. I am pet friendly for the well behaved pups. I July ask that waste be picked up and they not be left alone uncrated if you leave the house. I’ve provided a crate.
What makes this property unique
Kayaks, bicycles, yard games, pet friendly, private access to water with a creative, relaxing environment
