We enjoyed our stay very much! Everything was very clean and exactly as described. The host was quick to communicate although we didn’t have any problems. The home was very comfortable and nicely furnished. The beds were comfortable and the neighborhood felt safe and was quiet at night. We would love to stay again!

Pat is a great host. We were there for my husband’s funeral. He made sure that we were all accommodated being that we were all Seniors. Will contact him again to rent when I visit the family. House was very well stocked and bathroom gifts were appreciated. Soaps and laundry detergents were an added bonus that most don’t have. Very cozy comfortable home. Can’t wait to see his new one in the Heights he just bought. Thank you again Pat.

We all really enjoyed our stay at Monroe Manor. The house is beautiful and updated, very clean and we felt at home. Location worked out great. The host was great and very prompt responding to our questions. Would definitely recommend and come again!!

This home was completely more than adequate for our quick weekend stay... reasonably priced, very clean and included plenty of amenities with coffee pot and kitchen supplies, all necessary linens, and nice bathroom toiletries and blow dryer. Pat the owner was quick to reply when we tried to get in before the check in time and reprogrammed it for us to get in earlier. He did end up coming over himself to change the battery, to make sure the lock was working exceptionally well. Be careful not to lock the bottom lock, as then one is unable to get into the house. When we accidentally did that, he sent someone over within 10 minutes time to unlock it for us. So maybe a sticker that reads "do not lock bottom lock" is in order. The home is an older bungalow, but very nicely remodeled. The home being older has only one cooling/heating system, so although the main level is wonderfully cool, the upstairs bedrooms were not quite as cool, along with the basement. The two smaller bedrooms upstairs were cooler than the one large one upstairs. Ceiling fans installed would be ideal. Being older, the stairs/ some floor areas are very squeaky/ creeky, so being light footed at night helps. All in all, a decent VRBO with exceptional host.

Overall, Monroe Manner was exactly as described and as pictured. The house was super clean, spacious and comfortable--there was plenty of room for my husband, myself and our 3-adult children. We only wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the back patio and firepit. The house is located in a nice area and was close to everything that we needed---restaurants, grocery stores and to our suprise, we were able to walk to morning Mass on Sunday. If we find ourselves in Peoria again, we will not hesitate to book a stay at Monroe Manner!

Being into great food and night life I chose this neighborhood as an active real-estate investor for our first short term rental because it is in the best area to be be in walking distance to food, live music, and bars.
