Spacious Forest Cabin near Portland — 5BR Family Retreat on 15 Private Acres

Welcome to Cooper Mountain Cabin

A peaceful forest retreat set on 15 private acres in Beaverton, Oregon, this spacious 5-bedroom, 3-bath cabin comfortably hosts up to 12 guests and blends modern comfort with the tranquility of nature. It’s ideal for family gatherings, multi-generation trips, or friends looking for a peaceful place to unwind close to Portland’s conveniences.

Step inside to discover a bright, open living area surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows. The fully stocked kitchen has everything you need for shared meals—from stainless appliances and granite countertops to a full coffee and tea bar.

The primary suite feels like a treehouse with its private balcony and king bed. Two additional bedrooms on the main floor, plus a lower level with more sleeping space and a lounge with foosball and games, make this cabin ideal for large groups who want to spread out while staying connected.

Outdoor Space

Step onto the deck to breathe in the pine-scented air, grill dinner on the propane BBQ, or simply unwind as the forest changes color. During dry spells, guests can enjoy the propane fire pit and yard games.

The cabin offers a large parking pad for 6+ vehicles, motion-lit entry, and keyless check-in.

Location

Hidden in a private ravine on Cooper Mountain, the cabin feels secluded but remains close to everything you need:

*5 minutes to Cooper Mountain Nature Park (trails and playground)
*15 minutes to Nike and Intel campuses

What to Expect

Guests love the peaceful setting and forest views from every room. You may see deer, squirrels, and Stellar’s jays in the trees — this is true Oregon nature at its best, and the home is professionally maintained for comfort and cleanliness.

Because the cabin is on a private gravel road, a car is strongly recommended. Uber and Lyft can locate the address with our detailed directions, and we’re happy to recommend a trusted local shuttle service that knows the property well.

Stunning and Perfect!

We came from the East coast to celebrate my son's wedding, and we couldn't have picked a more perfect place to stay! In addition to being located on a stunning property, the inside of the house was in perfect order , fully stocked, and so clean. Echo was a wonderful hostess, making every step along the way easy and clear. I didn't want to leave, and I'm already planning a visit for next year.!

Family get away!!

When the property description indicates you are tucked away in the forest, make no mistake that’s the case. Drive thru a lovely community, find the “private driveway” sign, follow the road into a proverbial rain forest, including deer about. Round the bend and you are home at your personal treehouse. The “cabin” is nicely appointed, clean and private. Our family of nine loved the space. Kitchen, basement spaces recently updated. Master, second bedrooms updates in the future? Echo was an amazing host, the cabin private, quiet and worlds away (though not really 😌). Magical stay for a family looking to get away, though not too far. Echo, thank you.. Kathy and family

Beautiful escape

This was our second time staying here and I'm looking forward to coming back again! The house is well- appointed and comfortable for a large group! It's a nice way to get out of the city, without really leaving the city!

Hidden Gem

Loved what Echo has done with the house. Older houses have so much personality and Echo has really made something out of that. Highly recommended, specially when you're with your friends and family

Hidden and Quiet in the middle of it all

This is a hidden gem in the middle of Beaverton, quiet and private. The cabin is very spacious, comfortable and clean. Extremely impressed with privacy in such a large residential area. I highly recommend this cabin and the hosts. The host were second to none. Don't pass this place up. Will definitely rebook

The first time we turned down the forest road to this cabin, we felt ourselves exhale, a deep, calming breath we didn’t know we needed. That same sense of peace is what we now love sharing with our guests. In 2021, we discovered our dream cabin nestled among the Douglas firs of Cooper Mountain and began preserving this beautiful stretch of native Oregon woodland. Surrounded by towering trees, lush ferns, and visiting deer, it’s become a place of serenity and inspiration. We’re honored to share this peaceful retreat with others who seek quiet, comfort, and the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Why they chose this property

We love nature so being surrounded by such unique older growth forest really resonates with us. We are hikers, love to ski and snowboard up on Mt. Hood, love making day trips out to the ocean but also enjoy the convenience of living close to shopping, downtown events and the unique atmosphere of Portland and the PNW.

What makes this property unique

Our family affectionately calls it the “Ewok House” for its treehouse-like design: living spaces above, bedrooms below, and balconies tucked into the forest canopy. The cabin feels completely private and surrounded by nature; when we first stayed here, we realized we didn’t even need curtains. A family of deer makes regular visits, often wandering through the orchard to snack on fallen pears and apples. Over time, we’ve come to recognize them by sight—they seem just as curious about us as we are enchanted by them.
