Location was nice, it is a cute, small cottage. Communication was ok-we were confused
My friend and I just did a quick, last minute getaway and the property was perfect. It’s really just a two person property, but it has everything you need!

Thanks, Melissa! So happy to hear you enjoyed your time we would love to host you again in the future.
Great location! We enjoyed the porch after being out and about all day exploring Door County. Bathroom tub/shower could use a bleach but, other than that everything was tidy.
Thank you!

Quaint. Listing was accurate. Everything we needed was there. One concern, previous guests left their final trash bag in driveway (it was there when we arrived) and it never was addressed in our 4 day stay. Would do it again.

Perfect space for 2! Perfect location for our visit to Sister Bay Fall Festival!
My only suggestion would be to provide a drying rack for dishes and perhaps a new coffee maker! It was very slow to brew!
Otherwise the home fit our needs!

Place was cute, clean and comfortable. However the internet did not work at all unless we sat in the driveway of the main property. So for important internet searches we often were sitting in a lawn chair in the driveway in the rain to try and access wifi signal. Also sink water pressure was fine, but shower water pressure was very low. Other than those to larger issues, the stay was pleasant.

we are very sorry you experienced wi-fi issues during your stay. We have now installed a new mesh router which appears to have solved the internet issues. We now have great internet at Tuckaway Cottage.
The tuck away cottage was perfect for my husband and I. The Cottage is very charming and the bed is very comfy! The place was very clean and all you need for a couples stay to enjoy door county. AC unit kept the cottage nice and comfortable too.
The property was listed as dog friendly, but the guidebook inside the cottage says pets are not allowed, but the check out instructions indictated otherwise. We did have our small pup with us and found it perfect for him but I think all information needs to be clearer because I got nervous when I read the handbook that I misread information but then found again online where it says pet friendly.
All in all we were so happy with our stay! It’s so charming! Very easy access to Ephraim and sister bay. Perfect location along the peninsula! My husband and I would love to stay here again!

Heater than sounded like a megaplane
The cottage is cute and clean; however, I stayed in early fall when the nights were cold and heat was necessary. The room has a floor-to-ceiling heater which sounds like a megaplane coming through the room. After a minute or two, it also develops an even louder buzz and thrum. The heat is not retained in the room well (no insulation?), so the heater cycled on and off frequently through the night. I got no sleep and had to end the stay prematurely due to sleep deprivation. The management company could not provide an appropriate replacement place, and the owner simply refused to provide even a partial refund. I consider that to be unethical.

standing in the rain
The cottage was nice enough however upon arrival the numerical code to open the door was not working. I could hear the dead bolt moving but it would not unlock - this was due to a faulty installation that prevented the bolt from fulling opening. It was raining. The "hidden" key fit the lock but would not turn. After 1/2 hour working in the rain the door finally opened. There was no help from the "property manager."
Also, instructions for the TV were minimal. We couldn't get it to work and the Green Bay Packers were on THF (they lost.).
All in all, next time we're going back to an inn.

We thank you for letting us know of your concerns during your stay. We are sorry the home did not meet your expectations. We have ensured the lock is working correctly. It was our support team's pleasure to assist with gaining access with the key. We would be happy to have an opportunity to host you again and ensure a 5 star stay experience.
Nice little getaway. Great location, close but far enough away from the busy areas. Extra fees doubled the cost for a weekend. The door handle is neat and rustic looking, but it needs repaired or replaced. Window AC has a hard time keeping up if blinds are left open(they were when we arrived). Overall we had a wonderful time. Although we really didn't spend much time in the cottage other than to sleep, it was a nice quiet spot to end the day in a very busy area this time of year.

The Tuckaway Cottage is a great property for couples wanting a little time together. It’s in a good location for accessing all that Door County has to offer. Only item of concern was the bathroom sink faucet sprayed all over our clothes. Otherwise a nice place to stay.

Cute place. Stocked kitchen. Plenty of room for two people who don’t plan to spend much time indoors. Quiet street close to all the cute towns. Easy to find.

This property was perfect for our get away. It is right off HWY 42 (main drag) so it provided easy access to everything on the Bay side of DC. It was far enough from the road where you didn't hear traffic (unless it was an obnoxious motorcycle). There were only two glitches we noticed. The heater was VERY loud. Normal tourist season it wouldn't matter as you'd be using AC or open windows, but since it was a little cool we had it on during the evenings. It did a superb job heating the cottage within 10-15 minutes, but don't expect to get any sleep when it kicks on. The other was there was a slight smell when we got in. I'm not sure if a P-Trap had evaporated slightly or what. It was slightly off-putting initially, but open some windows and doors and it aired right out! Everything else was amazing! We'd highly recommend and will definitely consider again for a DC trip!

Just got back from a quick get away to Door County. This was our first trip there and the cottage provided all we were looking for. It was close enough to town that we could drive in under 5 minutes but provided the private quiet atmosphere we were looking for
We had a nice time staying here. The studio was surprisingly big, considering it’s such a cute little cottage from the street! Comfortable bed and easy access. Very clean, and the art on the ceiling above the bed was neat—especially the lights.
Downside was that we could not connect to the WIFI since it is located in the main house on the property. We let the managers know that we could not connect, but it was met with a comment about how there wasn’t much they could do and it’s an issue around the area. (My parents are nearby and do not have that issue!) WIFI was a major decision factor for choosing a place to stay, and we suggest to take down that this residence has WIFI until the issue is corrected. (If we had been working from home, we would have had to find another place to stay! I could see this being a problem for other guests if they need trustworthy connection.)

Hi Anna,
I apologize about the WiFi issue during your stay. We thought that the signal would be better from the main house.
We did install a mesh router just for the cottage so the WiFi is much better now! I hope you enjoyed your stay overwise.
