The Cascade Mountain-View Retreat is the perfect Country getaway. Nestled in the heart of the Fort Klamath Basin, and only 5 minutes away from the entrance to Crater Lake National Park, the Cascade Retreat just can't be beat. It is the closest small vacation home to Crater Lake National Park.

Disclosure: There is a single security camera installed on the shed in front of the Cascade House, with the camera facing the front door and entrance to the property. There are no cameras inside the home, nor elsewhere on the property.

Great little cabin close to crater lake. Well stocked with everything you need and very comfortable. Loved the patio and grill. The porch swing was perfect to relax after a day of hiking and exploring.

This peaceful little house with a well equipped kitchen was the perfect place to come back and relax after a long day hiking at Crater Lake NP. We even had a visit by a bald eagle with our morning coffee.

First of all the place was one of the my favorite VRBOs I've stayed in. It was very well appointed.We had pretty much everything we needed for cooking, including oil and spices It was very nicely decorated with comfortable seating and eating. The porches were a bonus! The view is amazing in all directions. Wonderful stars. It was close to the Crater Lake (about 20 minutes or so to the west side of the rim) and I don't think I saw a better location to stay on the SW side of the park . One thing to be aware of is that food options nearby are limited. there's a very nice organic market about 200 yards away. It's small, with a limited selection. I advise bringing most of your own food with you because dining and shopping within 25 minutes or so are few. All in all an excellent place that I hope to return to. The pic is late afternoon to the west from the porch..

This is a well kept property in a very quiet locale. Clean, comfortable beds, kitchen has all the things you could need, and deck is very nice.

This little house was the perfect place to stay, while enjoying Crater Lake. Mary Anna, answered text promptly and was very accommodating. The house was stocked with everything needed. I would stay here again.

Wonderful spot— so many little things that made it nicer— pretty dishes, comfy warm bedding, spotlessly clean and as close as you can get to Crater Lake. Loved the place— super comfy and the TV let me plug in my own subscriptions. Recommend VERY highly.

MaryAnna was very communicative and made the check-in and check-out process easy. She provided helpful information and suggestions about the area and things to visit. Beautiful property! The house was just as described. Closest restaurant (20 min) is at Crater Lake all of the other restaurants are at least 30 min away but the house has a great kitchen. We loved being close to Crater Lake but not in the heart of it. Loved the country feel. Would definitely stay here again!

Proximity to Crater Lake National Park was great. Some neighboring properties looked in disrepair and/or abandoned? Great views from front and back; enjoyed seeing the sun come up through the kitchen window. It was peaceful. Cozy but could use some freshening and should have been cleaner (especially the floors); the shower is kind of tight/small.

This property was delightful! It was a comfortable home away from home while we visited Crater Lake and the surrounding countryside. It was well stocked. The location was so peaceful; we enjoyed spending time on the covered patio, watching the birds and listening to the cattle. And the host was very responsive.

Lovely stay close to Crater Lake

We had a lovely stay at this gem of a location close to Crater Lake. Comfortable, clean and well stocked. Easy check in and minimal check out requests. (No you do not need to strip beds, take out trash etc). Mary Anna was prompt to respond and had great suggestions of where to go locally. Would stay here again.

Cascade Mountains View

We had a very enjoyable stay. Loved the peaceful and entertaining scenery. The house was so well stocked that if you forgot anything I’m sure you’d find it there. Mary Anna was very helpful and informative. The bald eagles were so much fun to watch from the porch Oh and Crater Lake was amazing. Loved it!

I chose this place because it looked very isolated and convenient to Crater Lake. Then I got worried because I did not get good directions to it, and saw pictures showing a trailer, and barn right next to it. Once we got there, and in, it was great! Very spacious, full of kitchen supplies, A/C, and comfortable furniture. There is a neighbor we met, and he was very quiet and nice.
