Bathroom needs updatng
Good location and setup. Beds were very comfortable although pillows were very high and hard. Check in process was very easy and the security is great. The kitchen set up looked good but we didnt really use it. The only negative is the bathroom. It needs a good cleaning, a paint job and some updating. While we were there they were doing renovations and it was sometimes noisy and a little difficult to maneuver through the hallways.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were happy with the location, value, cleanliness, safety and on-site parking. There were some minor negatives, but we would stay here again. The online photos are accurate. The studio was very clean and comfortable although a bit old and outdated. It was roomy enough for two people. The beds were very comfortable but there needs to be a variety of pillow firmness to accommodate different types of sleepers. The AC unit is so loud on the high setting that we could not hear the TV. The Eco setting was quieter and worked for sleeping. We found the AC instructions in the nightstand on the last day of our stay. An information binder would be helpful. There is a full-size refrigerator with the microwave on the top of the frig. A step stool would be handy for short people. We had a problem with the kitchenette faucet head detaching that appears to have happened before. The building is a combination of condominiums and hotel rooms, which could get confusing. Island Colony is the condo component and Aqua Skyline is the hotel. The building is old, as are most condos in Waikiki, but it is clean and well-maintained. The building is quieter than being on busy Kuhio Ave. The building is a convenient 5-minute walk to the International Marketplace or 6-minute walk to the Royal Hawaiian shopping center. Parking was confusing. It would have been helpful to have detailed parking instructions available before check-in. Parking is $40 per day, plentiful and attached to the building. The price is in the normal range for the area. The entrance and exit gates to the parking area are on a steep, 40-degree ramp. Pull a ticket and park. Before departing, pay the parking fee in the lobby, which gives you another ticket. To exit, you must scan BOTH your original ticket and the paid parking ticket at the exit ramp. You can purchase parking for more than one day at a time. No discounts.Ali’i Beach Rentals was easy to work with and provided good communicatio

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Based on my expectations since i was aware of the building being older, we were pleased with the room and overall experience. From the simplicity of first booking the room through check in and during the stay we had no problems. The building has a little store and was very convenient. The building is easy walking distance to food, restaurants, entertainment and the beach. We always saw maintenance and cleaning people cleaning the public areas around the pool and barbecue area. Enjoyed the stay.

Central Waikiki Vacation Rental
Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is as pictured. The location is excellent. The building is old and it shows somewhat. This unit is clean but it is tired. The bathroom in particular needs an overhaul. The balcony, view, pool, hot tub and bbq area is what makes this a good place to stay as it's central to everything. The only real downside is that owners may smoke in their units and it can be invasive, particularly considering the choice of smoke. Would be nice if it was a non-smoking building. I will stay there again!
