Place was great, and clean! Like others have mentioned this is in a suburban area, but the house was fantastic. Hiking trails that were easy for all are literally out the back door. Easy to get to downtown Asheville and all the other sites. The only the detractor for the stay was the “breaking bad’esque” double wide that you pass on the way into the driveway. But that has nothing to do with the property in the comfortableness that awaits you at this VRBO.

Thank you for your review! We’re very happy that you were pleased with your stay.
The property had everything we needed for a great weekend away. The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds and pillows were comfortable, the trails out the back door were so fun to explore with the kids..:I can’t say enough good things about this place. Location is also close to everything.

We are so glad you enjoyed your time and thank you for caring for the home! We'd love to host you again soon!
The house was nice inside and clean. Loved the tall ceilings and big windows looking straight into the forest. All amenities were provided such as washer pods and soups which was very convenient. Note: When booking through vrbo you will still have to sign a contract and download an app by the management company.

What a wonderful property! The pictures are great and they don't do the view or house justice! The house was wonderful and very clean. The location, with the property backed up to the national forest, was perfect. The trails were just steps away.
The place was so nice! We loved how quite and cozy the place was. Loved the kitchen more than anything (I'm a foody that loves to cook). Phone signal was rough but it felt good to unplug. Definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants wants a luxurious cozy cabin in the woods!
Perfect location for our group to come back to and relax. We visited Pisgah National Forest, The Cradle of Forestry, Grove Inn and Biltmore. The beds were so comfortable we didn't want to leave!

Janet, thanks for the 5-star review! We're so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Trails End Retreat. A hiking/biking lovers' dream home ;) We hope you're doing well, and Yonder welcomes you back anytime!
Loved being able to bike from Bent Creek front door into Pisgah National Forest. That close to the woods, anticipate a few insects. Well maintained hot tub. Stylish cement floors. A dehumidifier integrated into HVAC system would be nice-to-have, as running the AC to lower humidity would turn it frigid. Still, five stars as complete package and Yonder management/structure made for a very nice family weekend. Would absolutely return. Thank you.
Lots of space for cooking, eating and lounging. Beautiful views out the windows and access to trails. Short drive to all of the places we wanted to visit - downtown, Biltmore, RAD, and arboretum. Great we could bring our dog too! Kids loved it. Very spacious.
Clean, quiet, spacious, and close to Asheville and excursions. Started each day with a hike in the backyard or a run through the nearby neighborhood. Ended each day with a dip in the hot tub or hanging out near the fire pit. Management group was friendly and quick to respond. We can't wait to return!
Great place to stay, very well maintained property. Definitely met our expectations. If there were any negatives, it would just be the location. The pictures don't show that there are some other homes that are close by, but the house itself is fantastic just don't expect to be secluded out in the woods. Other than that, everything is within a 15-20 minute drive and we really enjoyed our stay here. Would recommend it.

Josh, thanks for your review! We’re so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Trails End Retreat. We hope you’re doing well, and we welcome you back to explore any of our Yonder homes! :)
It was wonderful overall. Stocked more than expected, accurate to the distance between downtown Asheville and surrounding areas. Only slight correction would be the distance between homes as in there were two homes on either side in clear view. Not a huge deal! Just something we noticed and is probably more private in other seasons. We loved having a trail in the backyard! And we loved how close we were to everything else! The hot tub was larger than expected as well as the rest of the house. Everything was as promised and more.
It was overall a beautiful place. The cleanliness was good, but there were quite a few cobwebs throughout all the corners of the walls and on the lamps. The small doors to above space were oddly open in one of the rooms. As three women staying by ourselves, the mobile homes that were occupied in the overgrowth were quite close and just made us feel somewhat insecure. Overall a wonderful retreat.
The house was adorable. However, the road directly into the house is not paved and that particular area is a little sketchy. Also, the toilets were dirty around the very top of the rim, otherwise the house was spotless. And there were only 3-coffee cups -- some prior renter must have taken or broken the additional cups. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed the most tranquil stay at this clean and modern retreat of a vacation home. The views out of the expansive windows in the main room and kitchen were a lovely reminder that we were positioned right at forest’s edge and could enjoy the nature views at all times. We took advantage of the hot tub and fire pit frequently. We walked right off the back patio and onto the trail to hike and bike through the Bent Creek section of Pisgah National Preserve. It was glorious!
The kitchen appliances are clean and modern and the bathrooms are sleek and well designed (especially appreciated the double sinks in both bathrooms). Easy access to groceries and pharmacies and all the major interstates (you can be in downtown Asheville in 15 minutes). Plenty of clean towels and linens are provided, and the wi-fi was strong and reliable.
We highly recommend this NC getaway!
We picked Trails End Retreat for its location, and it did not disappoint! Being able to explore the National Forest right out the back door by foot and by bike was such a great experience. We had our dog with us, and she loved it too. There is also a community park with some playground equipment, a basketball court, and a pavilion about a half-mile walk away, which was nice for the kids. The house itself was also great! The huge windows all around as well as the finished concrete floors (accompanied by plenty of rugs) were both excellent features that we loved. The hot tub was also in great condition, and we used it a lot. The only tricky things for us were that the sliding trash cans in the kitchen island seemed to not fit super well, so they were a little hard to open and shut. Not a huge deal though. Also, we arrived after dark, and we actually tried to enter the unit next door, which could’ve been scary for occupants there or dangerous. Luckily there was no one there at the time. There might have been details on this in our reservation info, but if there was, I missed it. All in all, a great spot. Would rent again.
The rental was described perfectly. Location was good for us. Our son & family were visiting in laws that live near the Biltmore and it wasn’t very far to go visit. The old campers were a little scary and took away from the overall appearance, but can’t always pick neighbors. Looking out over the forest was so beautiful and peaceful. Loved all the windows.
The kitchen was great had everything I needed to prepare a meal for them. Beds were comfortable, but could use new pillows. Bathrooms were great, tubs were pretty high to climb into for shower, husband nearly feel getting out one morning. He suggest some grab bars. Us older folks are very afraid of falling.
We did build a fire in the fire pit, wish we had some starters, but got it going.
Overall, it was a pleasant, peaceful, & restful stay.
We chose the house based on it's proximity (a trail in the backyard!) to Pisgah and Bent Creek. It was awesome to bike right out. The neighborhood also included a nearby playground and small pump track for bikes.
The house was clean, and as advertised. The fire pit had two bundles of wood, the hot tub was clean and in good working order. The windows and open floor plan were really nice for creating that outside while inside feeling. The kitchen was sufficiently stocked (no baking trays, but there's never a guarantee when traveling). The furniture was comfortable, though the beds and pillows would benefit from an upgrade. They were still fine to sleep on.
If I had a wishlist item to add, it would be a secure space to store bikes. We made do, but it would have been clutch to have had a small shed or covered space to lock them up.
We'll definitely stay again if we come back to the area.
