The Hall House is located at the end of a rural dirt and gravel road on a peninsula. The house was built in 1997 on the shore of Narraguagus Bay. Visitors will follow a dirt road past beautiful native fir and birch trees to get here from the main road.
The house consists of a living room area with windows facing out to the bay. Lots of natural sunlight enters through the windows and skylights, and a large dining table with seating for 6 is adjacent to the waterfront deck. The living room has a working gas stove, a couch, and three chairs.
Entry is through the kitchen, which is complete with a refrigerator, gas stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, toaster oven, and sink.
The primary bedroom is located at the end of the hallway and faces the Bay. It consists of a queen-sized bed, a desk, a bureau, and a closet. A half-bathroom with a sink and toilet is adjoining this bedroom.
Another bedroom is also at the end of the hall and faces the woods and the parking area. This bedroom has a queen bed, a bureau, and a closet.
The bunk room has two twin beds in bunk style, a bureau, and a row of hooks on the wall for more storage.
A loft area with two twin beds and a foot chest is accessed by placing the portable wooden loft ladder at the loft entrance The ladder has seven (7) rungs.
A screened-in porch is accessed by going through the kitchen/dining area, and it has seating for 6 people. This is a favorite spot in the morning and late afternoon.
A deck is on the east side of the house, facing the water. Sunrise comes on strong and warm here, and it's a great spot to enjoy watching the lobster boat activity on the bay or to watch Bald Eagles, heron, cormorant, seals, osprey, and other wildlife. An LP gas grill is located on the deck as well as seating.
Off the north end of the deck are steps to get to the lower lawn and the path to the waterfront. From here, you can catch crabs, fish, or launch kayaks. Fishing gear, kayaks, canoes, and other boats are not included. A public boat launch is available in town.
As a treasured family getaway, The Hall House has limited availability in the summer.
