About this property

Classic 1968 Airstream near Bass Lake & Yosemite

Looking for a unique getaway with the one you love? Look no further.
Enjoy the quiet and unplug from the hustle of the world! Focus on nature and each other, enjoy the thrill of the outdoor shower and relaxing evenings on the deck.

The kitchenette is equipped with: Pots, pans, knives, coffee maker, french press, coffee grinder, instant hot water pot, toaster oven, induction hot plate, and of course plates, glasses, and cups.

Day trips and adventure is never far away with only a 10-minute drive to Bass Lake for all kinds of water sports and boating and 40 minutes from Yosemite for hiking and so much more to do locally. We'll send you a list of things to do and see for inspiration.

The 14-acre property offers some hiking to granite rock formations with a view of Oakhurst. At the bottom of the property, you’ll find a seasonal creek, and on your way, there are some magical spots. (For fit people with proper hiking shoes and pants to protect from foxtails)

Please note that there is a main house, approx. 150 yards from the Airstream with trees in between, that may be rented to other guests. We also finished a 26' teepee, about 50' from the Airstream. All guests are asked to be respectful with privacy and noise levels to each other and neighbors.

Stay was enjoyable overall. Airstream was very hot when we arrived, took awhile to cool down. Drive to Bass Lake about 15 minutes.

Backpacking Yosemite
I stayed here for a few days after my Yosemite backpacking trip. This was the perfect place for me; I was gone all day exploring the area ; Bass Lake is amazing...at night I laid in the hammock to read my book then retired to a comfortable bed...The local restaurants were fantastic...!

We love staying in vacation rentals when we travel, so we take pride in ours, by making them as comfortable of a home away from home as possible.

Why they chose this property

This is one of the two fun-loving glamping accommodations we are offering. We added this Airstream in 2020 and just completed a huge 26' tipi in May 2021.

What makes this property unique

The experience of staying in such a beautiful, classic vehicle from 1968 has a certain romance that no regular RV can offer. Add to that a bit of adventure with the outdoor shower and you have a truly unique experience. We purposely did not equip the Airstream with wifi and a TV. This experience was always created to unplug from work, social media and focus on what is important in life; we feel that is even more true now.
