This is a cute farmhouse! It was clean, cute, fully furnished and thank you for the bottle of wine in the refrigerator too. Sweet! Also great communication.
Property had country charm and was a good place to rest after long days of hiking in Yosemite. Thank you Katie for providing a nice and economical option for our family.
We loved our stay! Everything you need is at this charming house. Close to Bass Lake and not too far from Yosemite. It was so neat to have animals on the property-our kids enjoyed the “Farm life”! The hosts were hospitable, available if needed, friendly and gave great info on the surrounding area. We would return!
Our hosts were awesome. The accommodations were very clean and stocked with great necessities like balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper, etc. Directions were clear and simple for check in/check out and spraying disinfectant on surfaces was required upon leaving- a smart touch. Kate was very available for communication and brought us farm fresh eggs, basil, and garden tomatoes which we all enjoyed immensely. The experience was welcoming and our hosts were available without being intrusive in any way, so it felt extremely private.

About the host
Hosted by Katie and Bob Kelly
Katie and Bob are local teachers who love the outdoors and the great opportunities to enjoy nature in Yosemite, Bass Lake, and the Sierra National Forest. Our most recent adventure is creating a small heritage breed animal farm. We are currently refining the chicken run and will soon have donkeys and/or horses and of course, pigs! We also have four loving kittens who are quite happy to have you scratch their ears.
Why they chose this property
We chose North Fork as it's a great place to raise kids, flowers, fruits, and vegetables, and spend time outdoors. And, who wouldn't want Yosemite in their backyard? We are on 12 acres that are perfect for raising animals of all sorts, a large vegetable garden and the beginnings of an orchard.
What makes this property unique
We are located on the faster, more scenic route to the South Gate of Yosemite National Park (35 minutes) and Bass Lake (10 minutes). We are 25 minutes from the town of Oakhurst. We are situated in an ideal resting spot after day trips to many local attractions and half hour to the Chukchansi Casino and resort. You can sit in your own private garden and look out over historic grazing pastures and watch the sun set over the hills behind you and if you hit it right, you can enjoy the produce from our vegetable garden.
