Great spot, clean and worth the cost!

We had 2 adults, 2 teens and toddler with 2 pets. Great area to take dogs out, beach access and location is great as no major hotels next to property. Inside is nice and great amenities. Great option for families.

Texas visit

The beach view is awesome and kitchen was well stocked, plus bathrooms. Downstairs is a bit dated and musty-however, the living/ kitchen with the best view are in excellent shape. All in the price is very reasonable for this location. I would rent again.

Very beach accessible

The best part of staying at this townhouse was the fact that it was literally steps from the beach. It was so easy to traipse back and forth between the canopy on the beach, and the kitchen. We didn't have to haul tons of food and drinks.

Private, excellent location, comfortable getaway

Situated at the north end of strip and right on the beach, this private condo was very relaxing and ideal to get away from the high-rise apartments and crowds. We felt secure having the 2-car garage to tuck away our car and gear. The condo only shares one wall with neighbors and we never heard a peep (we've stayed in the SPI high-rise apartments before and the noise above & below has been an issue). Loved hanging out in the family room/kitchen and never got tired of the views. Kitchen is fully stocked. Rooms are cleans, beds are comfy. Will return and stay again.

Great location , but...

This property is a great location on the beach and to getting around on the island. However, the price does not reflect the accommodations. The house is furnished with cheap and falling apart furniture. There are a number of safety hazards on the property as well. While we enjoyed our stay here we unfortunately will be looking for another place to stay in the future. Overpriced frat house.

Island stay

Property was as advertised. We had a great time. We would certainly stay here again. Communication with owner could have been better. I requested access information via email 3 times with no response. I finally called owner and was given access code. There was no remote for the garage door and the grill was charcoal and quite small. These are minor issues and did not impact the quality of our trip.

Wonderful family townhouse

We stayed here from July 27 to August 3, 2009 and loved everything about the place. We come to South Padre every summer and so far have tried different accommodations every year. This was by far the nicest and most convenient that we have experienced. It is GREAT to be able to walk out of the house onto the beach. If the kids get hungry they can take themselves back to the house for lunch or snacks. The kitchen was fabulous, very nicely decorated and if you bring your own paper goods, plates/bowls/cups you will have everything you need. The rest of the house is VERY nicely decorated and has FOUR bathrooms!!! No one waits for a shower!! There is a full size washer and dryer so we came home with only a couple loads of dirty clothes. The AC works wonderfully. There is a shower and hose to rise off downstairs from the beach. The only thing I can really say that would improve the townhouse is maybe one king size bed. Other than that is was top notch. We will definitely stayed there again!! Thanks Chris!!

The location is great with an amazing view of the gulf, sounds of waves, walking and playing on the beach right outside the patio and deck. Sitting outside at night was very cool.However, I would not stay here again. It is so obvious that the place is NOT cared for and the owner is not concerned about your stay at their property. No dish soap, barely dish towels, good luck with the coffee maker. The lack of lamps drove us nuts! Only using very bright overhead lights is not enjoyable, we were not performing surgery. Lots of deferred maintenance...I'm not sure how much longer the 2nd floor bathroom window will survive.Every other VRBO I've stayed in has property owners/managers that really make an effort. Providing trip information, just little details that make a big difference. Not here. But yes, the location is top notch.

This is the third time we've stayed at this property. It's always top-notch. We know what to expect, the location is ideal and we don't ever run into any issues. In fact, we will not travel to South Padre unless we can stay here. Thank you for the opportunity.

Granddaughter’s graduation gift

Our wonderful granddaughter graduated from high school and will be headed out of Texas for college. My husband and I asked her where she would like to vacation and she picked south padre island. The gulf is right in front of the condo and it was a short walk to the beach to set up chairs and umbrellas for the day. So convenient and comfortable. Thank you for such a memorable time!

We’ve stayed at this place a couple of times now. Couldn’t be a better location and perfectly accommodates our family (6 people). Love having the beach in my backyard. I’d say we’ll be back. See you next summer!
