This house had so much welcoming space for us and had a beautiful view. We enjoyed little touches like having soap/shampoo ready for the person who forgot, a very easy to control heating system, and games and puzzles ready (although we brought our own). Our host was easy to communicate with and we would definitely come back again!

Guest checked in hours before checkin time without notifying me and the cleaner was still cleaning. It's a large property that is always booked and needs the full turnaround for cleaning between guest. IF early checkins are needed they need to be approved as extra cleaners are needed. She was upset that and didn't want to wait until listed checkin time. She asked the cleaner to leave and the cleaner followed her wishes.

This was a retaliatory review that was reported to VRBO. Guest showed up well before check in without any notice or request for an early check in. Cleaner was still cleaning from the guest that checkout that morning. I did have to call this guest as well for neighbors complaining of excess loud noise (loud music and cars honking) at 3AM during the weekday. She was unhappy and put off that I ask her to keep the noise down, so much so she left the home extremely dirty and left the front door open when she left. Please check the other great reviews as there are accurate. This one is not.
The home interior & hot tub need a thorough professional cleaning. The pontoon boat was usable but the upholstery was filthy and in extreme disrepair. Some of group happened to arrive early. The host was great and allowed us to gather on the back porch until 4PM
Group of 6 30-somethings hanging out for a weekend getaway that greatly enjoyed our time. Plenty of great amenities such as hot tub, grill, large TVs, space to stretch, plenty of beds, and more! Would recommend for anyone who is looking for a nice getaway in a quiet lakeside location.
The house had plenty of space for our family and the owner was very responsive to all our needs. We really enjoyed the use of the pontoon boat. Great bonus!

Suzanne was terrific. The property is really unique with an incredible yard and patio. There are more amenities than we could have possibly used in our 3 day stay.

Thank you. It was a pleasure to host you and your group. Hope to have you back in the future!
This home is charming and Suzanne treats her guests like family. She provided high end baking sheets when she learned we would be baking cookies and she decorated a full size Christmas tree for us.

I am so glad your enjoyed your stay during the holiday. I was a pleasure to host you!
We loved our stay here! We were in town for the MI Titanium race with another couple and their daughter. Plenty of room for everyone to enjoy. The whole house is well stocked with anything you need.
Thank you Suzanne for a wonderful stay!
We loved our stay at the very large lake cottage! We had a cousin getaway with 12 people. It is super well stocked with literally everything you could ever needed. The host was so helpful and great communication.
The only weird thing was there wasn’t any checkin or out instructions so it was a little unclear with expectations. But over all a wonderful 5 star stay!!!
We enjoyed our time there. We wanted someplace to chill with family. There were some games and puzzles available. We went over to cannonsburg 20 minutes away and went tubing one afternoon.
Made use of the hot tub also, and the backyard was very nice and private.
One couple used the barn for 1 night but found it to be too cold( it was very cold that night) and didn’t like the air mattress that was there.
The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and had everything we needed. The bedding and towels were all nice also.
Overall, it was a comfortable place to hang out with our family away from home and day to day responsibilities!

A bit disappointed
I had booked the space for a family getaway, but was disappointed in the experience. There were several safety concerns, such as doors / windows that would not lock. The hot tub was unclean along with other cleanliness issues. Additionally, some information was misrepresented on the listing.

Valerie, I am disappointed in this review. I appreciate your feedback, however i drove up and address the issue of the keyless entry pad being low and replaced the batteries within an hour. The hot tub was emptied and professionally cleaned hours before you checked in. We spoke and you never mentioned it not meeting your expectations. I know the weather was bad during your stay, perhaps that was the issue. When you left you failed to lock the door, turned off the heat leaving the house cold at 60 degrees and left all the lights on.
The house was perfect for me and my girlfriends. We have a weekend twice a year where we get together to relax and reset. The large couch was perfect for us to lounge around and do our crafts, granted it could maybe use an update because she was definitely well loved. The house was very spacious, the pictures don't do it justice. We each had a room to ourselves and they were all great.
We were all in agreeance that we would love to stay here again. It was perfect for our needs and would be happy to make this the place for our weekends away in the future. If I had to pick a negative I would say that it could've used a deep cleaning. And while they have an expansive amount of kitchen gadgets and different things for you to use their regular dishes were lacking....there wasn't a single real bowl in the house. It was a hodge podge of dishware which was fine unless you needed a bowl.
Other than those couple things it was perfect. Like we said, we'd love to stay here again if it is available. Our host Suzanne was incredibly kind and very responsive. We had a special situation arise during our stay and not only did she get back to us right away, but her suggestion was so helpful and very thoughtful. Thank you Suzanne, I truly hope we have a chance to stay in your home again.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay at the Lake Lodge. It was a pleasure to host you!
A group of 6 adults stayed for a weekend getaway and it had everything we needed to have an enjoyable stay. Multiple bath and bed rooms, plenty of space to spread out, enough parking for 4 vehicles, modern appliances, and more, this was a great location for our needs and we'll be looking at coming back again.
