Custom Log Cabin on Wild Ammonoosuc River

Welcome to River Ridge Lodge!
Our custom Coventry Log Homes design log cabin is located in the beautiful White Mountains perched on a ridge overlooking the Wild Ammonoosuc River. To get to our cabin you will cross over one of the historic Bath Covered Bridges and discover one of our hidden treasures, the spectacular Swiftwater Swimming Hole (known as 'the Big Eddy'). The river is also a well known area for trout fishing as well as panning for gold and gems!

Our beautiful, river-front log cabin, is unique from other log cabins. River Ridge Lodge is very open, bright and airy with cathedral ceilings, skylights and golden colored pine woodwork. The cabin is right above the river with its constant soothing sounds that will relax and unwind you as you sit on the expansive farmer's porch or enjoy the warmth of the sun on the very private sunning deck with its own private outdoor shower. With its South-West facing to capture the day long sun, River Ridge Lodge will deliver an experience of pure tranquility.
If you do not wish leave the world behind completely, you will also enjoy the modern amenities of satellite TV with a big screen HDTV and streaming channels, plus WIFI. However, if you do leave the property, cell phone signal is very limited in any direction for about 15 minutes. It truly is a retreat!

The 1st and 2nd floor loft each have a queen bed and a full bathroom. The master bath has a luxurious walk-in tiled shower with heated fan. The 1st floor has an open kitchen, dining area and living room with a gas-burning wood stove and big screen HDTV. The large front porch is furnished with Adirondack chairs from Pollywood furniture. It is a the perfect spot for relaxing, reading and observing nature. The Wild Ammonoosuc River is just at the foot of the hill with parking and access to a cleared 'beach' area at the edge of the Wild Ammonoosuc River. Bring folding chairs and a lunch or bottle of wine and enjoy a cooling dip in the crystal clear river water. (walking trail only)

Our Cabin is located one mile from the historic center of Bath, home to the famous Brick Store which closed during Covid. Bath is actually the home of three covered bridges with the Bath-Haverhill Bridge being the oldest covered bridge still in use in NH. Bath is noted for its historic architecture. Much of the Victorian era architecture in the village has been preserved, particularly in the Federal and Greek Revival styles. The town includes the village of Swiftwater and part of the district known as Mountain Lakes.

We are 15 minutes from a Walmart and 30 minutes to Home Depot, Lowes, Shaws, TJ Maxx and many delicious restaurants.

The cabin was so pretty and so clean! We enjoyed our stay very much. We loved the fireplace and the bedrooms were very comfortable. We didn't use all the games that were there but there's all kinds of games to play if you'd like to. They were really cool. There's a beautiful porch to sit on with the sounds of the river that were very relaxing. We stayed four nights and hated to leave because it was so enjoyable

The images made it seem like it was right on the river, but it is quite the hill to get to and from! Definitely come prepared for a little hike! Very clean space, loved the privacy and quiet road. Very well stocked in the kitchen and board game department. Went with two little kids and they had a great time as well!

This property was amazing. We loved the location, the privacy, and the cabin itself. It had everything you would ever need. It was like being at home but almost better. It was a great retreat. We loved sitting in the porch and listening to the stream below. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Just what we needed. This property is staying on our get away list!

I feel like it could be better noted that it is a very steep hill down to the water's edge. Not everyone will be able to navigate that. There is also a video camera on the porch looking at the door and entrance from driveway - which of course is fine for security, but there was no mention of this in the listing or during the check-in communications.Property itself is beautiful and very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and on the river.

We had a wonderful stay! Everything was perfect. The host basically thought of anything we would need as it was very well stocked and supplied down to the fireplace going to welcome us when we arrived. The home was cozy, clean, charming and very peaceful. I would definitely recommend for anyone staying in the area.

Property was great. Very clean and spacious. We enjoyed the large porch to sit out on and enjoy the surrounding nature. The cabin is located close to numerous trailheads in the White Mts. Which makes it a great base of operations. The river is also very enjoyable however the access from the property is somewhat of an adventure. My only complaint is communication/response time from the host. The host was virtually unavailable during our stay. We tried to get in touch multiple times during our stay and got no response. Not ideal if an issue arises. We would still return for another stay in the future due to the great location and cleanliness of the cabin though.

The accommodations were exemplary in every aspect, with the exception of a singular detail. The property's description and accompanying imagery indicate riverfront access; however, the terrain leading to the river is challenging and infested with poison ivy. Furthermore, the designated trail, the dear whatever trail, is currently inaccessible due to "keep out" signage. Consequently, direct access to and enjoyment of the river were not possible. Additionally, the prevalence of "no trespassing" signs surrounding the property created an somewhat unwelcoming atmosphere. The cottage itself is of superior quality, and had I not incurred a higher cost compared to an alternative lakeside accommodation, I would have rated the experience a perfect ten.

Enjoyed the stay, the cabin was very clean, wifi was a bit slow but you are there to relax! Fire pit is a lovely touch. Would recommend bringing soap, throw blanket, your own pillow and smores kit

The property and cabin were exactly as described. Very peaceful location right in the heart of nature. The property manager was very responsive and helpful. Swiftwater way station is a wonderful country store about 10 minutes away that has a little of everything (including gas) and they make a delicious Italian grinder. Would absolutely book this cabin again!

We had a wonderful time! Me and me family loved this cabin. The sound of the river was very relaxing. Great location close to all we wanted to explore. It was very clean and had all the necessary kitchen utensils we needed for our stay. The stove heater kept us all comfortable during the winter nights. Will definitely keep in our list of cabins to stay next time we plan a getaway.

Our property is unique because it is a two bedroom, two bath, fully furnished custom log cabin with skylights, a vaulted ceiling , beautiful gas fireplace, outdoor fire pit, outdoor shower. It is overlooking a river that is great for panning, swimming, floating and relaxing. Many great local restaurants and breweries that are an easy drive from the cabin.
