Traci, thanks for taking the time to leave feedback. Will definitely take a look at the water in the showers, it should be hot. Lightbulbs have been replaced as well. Always appreciate constructive suggestions and reviews to make the experience better for guests.
Great area, like having your own little island, very peaceful. Convenient to all local attractions.
Would go back again.

Thanks for the review. The carpet does have some stains on it from when we bought the properties several months ago. We will be putting wood floors down in hopefully April or May of this year.
Property is nicely located pretty much on the river. Easy to get to and everything works fine. Parking was plentiful as we had our adult children coming and going depending on their schedules.

Hi Steve. Thank you for the review. Please contact us regarding any A/C issues you had. We checked everything after you left and didn't have any issues and everything was working fine. Please contact us so we can see if we're missing something. Thank you.
What a great property! The two twin beds were perfect for our two children. The property came with everything we needed for meal prep. Loved the Easy access to the water with a boat slip.
We enjoyed spending time on the river, grilling and chilling!
Can’t wait to visit again!
Newly renovated. A few quirks with the renovation with door issues in bathrooms. Well equipped. Perfect location. Property manager communicated well. Will be back.
Our families rented both homes on the property. They were gorgeous, and so comfortable. The houses had some essentials needed that are easily forgotten (I.e. kitchen condiments & Tupperware). Paula was so easy to communicate with, and made our stay that much better.
It was centrally located and quite. Can’t wait to stay there again for the years to come!

There was enough space, dog has a great time, with the big yard. Screened in porch very nice, privacy very good, carpet was stained in various spots, however since we had a dog and a baby with us. There was no concern.

Thanks for the review. The stains on the carpet were from when we originally bought the house. It's one of the last ones for us to renovate due to the popularity of the home. We are starting a complete renovation on April 1, 2023 to include all new wood floors, new kitchen, new bathrooms and new furniture. It'll be done by June 1st. We hope you come back and check it out!

Great location
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. I rated the description low because the furniture is different and the carpet…Everything was clean, except the carpeting, I even took a video. We were charged a small pet deposit that I gladly payed for our friends dogs, but when we arrived and opened the door, the first thing you see is all the stains from past pets…if you’re charging a deposit, you should be able to tell if a new stain occurs…sadly this was not the case here…we normally do not wear shoes in a home, not even our own, but at this home we didn’t take them off…in this case I did not reach out to the owners about the stains but will not stay there again because of it.

Hi Katrina, Thank you so much for the review and feedback. We do have a small pet fee and that's primarily for the extra work getting all the dog hair removed. There are a few small stains that were there when we purchased the home last year. They will be completely replaced this April 2023. In fact, it will be completely renovated then. We had hoped to replace and renovate that house sooner but it booked up more than we thought.
The place could use a little TLC. As mentioned in other reviews, the carpet is heavily stained, screens are ripped on the patio, and the bathroom and bedroom doors are difficult to open and close. However, aside from the carpet stains, it was clean and had all the basics covered. We brought our boat and used the dedicated dock. At night, we boated to the Freezer (in the next canal over) and to the Monkey Bar, about 3-5 minutes away at idle speed. We didn't have any problems, and did not need to communicate with the owner; all the info we needed was in the instructions. It is a great location, and we would rent there again, though it would be nice if some of the maintenance items were addressed.

Thanks for the great review! We just bought the property less than a year ago so we haven't been able to replace to carpet yet due to the popularity of this house. We'll be replacing it with wood floors this fall!
The location of this property is great for getting into the bay from the river quickly. Overall, we loved it.
There are a couple quirky things visitors should know. It shouldn't stop you from booking but be aware.
The boat dock is not a floating dock so it was underwater when we arrived. It is true to the photo and not right next to the house. You will need to slosh through a wet, buggy field to get to it.
The house is bare minimum. Bring basics like salt and pepper if you plan to cook and a nut cracker if you want to crack crabs.
The only other odd note was that there was NO mirror in one bathroom at all and the other has it behind you rather than above the sink. We laughed that the house must have been built for vampires, lol. Not deal breakers but worth noting.
The house was clean. We did enjoy our stay.
The house was clean upon check in. However that’s when things started going down hill. I tried to close the sliding door to the Bedroom and it popped off the track and I couldn’t close it. Reported to host and said they would get someone to look at it. Never happened during our stay. The dryer timer was broken, per the label on the lid. Then the toilets and shower started backing up. We had sewer water backed up in the showers. Was offered another house to stay at that was a bit of a drive, but due to our boats being docked up we didn’t want to leave and re-settle a child and dog. The front door opened the first time upon arrival, then we couldn’t get it to open again and had to leave a sliding glass door unlocked the whole time so we could access the house. The front door could only be opened from the inside. Ginger was pretty responsive to our issues and had someone out very quickly for the plumbing issue. Due to the severity of the plumbing issue however the showers were backed up several times, we couldn’t take more than a very brief shower before the water started backing up again, and the toilets started bubbling. The house location was perfect for where we needed to be. The new dock was great but needs some cleats added. There was no electricity downstairs under the house. The beds were clean and the floors were clean. The screened in porch is a great asset. Minus our unfortunate issues we incurred the house was great for our little getaway.

Thank you for the feedback. We were glad to be able to fix the plumbing issues so quickly. As you can see in the photo, there was a lot of sand that was tracked into the shower and that can cause a backup. We encourage people to rinse off their feet off if they're excessively dirty as these are just normal built homes. Thanks for staying with us!
