Anniversary

There was several things that needs addressed. There are few issues like the entry door lock was a beast to lock and unlock. Not sure why the keyless entry was not programmed. Master door knob was not secure. Flood lights/ motion lights did not work so we had to have flash lights. No blind on the window in kitchen and sitting area. The blinds were in the corner in the kitchen. The house smells and reeks of Dog so bad that we had to go out and buy candles and plug ins. Very disgusting! I believe vaping was also a contributing factor. The host has a very large dog and I believe the smell was actually from his dog. The dog’s poop in the yard was huge and everywhere. As careful as I was to avoid stepping in it well I was a victim 3 times and had to clean and change my shoes. I wasn’t happy at all. My friends step in it too. The outside furniture I would not sit on. The furniture in the sitting area was small and uncomfortable. Overall the inside was clean, no bugs which was good if it hadn’t smelled so bad and the yard being a poop mine it would have been a whole lot better.

Charleston Family Trip

We visited Charleston for three days with our family of 8, ranging ages from an infant on up. Our first impression when we entered was that this was going to be super cramped for a family of 8. When we walked into the place, we immediately see a bed in front of us. This was considered a bedroom even though there was not a door on it for any privacy. To the left of the room was the kitchen area but could hardly be considered a kitchen bc it lacked a kitchen table. The dishwasher was only the size of a laundry basket. The refrigerator was one you’d find in a motel. Next you walk through a narrow hallway which to the left is a bathroom. The bathroom door did not have a lock on it which created a problem for us. Two of our guys were leaning on the balcony to talk below to someone, they felt the railing give way. It definitely needs repaired before someone falls and gets hurt. We ended up keeping it permanently locked bc we had small children. The other 2 bedrooms were fine and quite comfortable. As far as the interior decorating goes….there is nothing! No curtains or pictures hung up. So it lacks that cozy cottage feeling. It is about a 40 minute walk to the market on market street. The hot tub is located near the driveway. Just not a comfortable place and definitely not the best view. The host lives right below and not very friendly. Never acknowledged us whenever we passed him or asked us how we were doing. Thought that to be very strange. Place is not spacious as advertised.

Such a great location! So close to downtown and all the fun in Charleston! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Fairly solid

Property was very clean and tidy on inside. The wifi network described by the owner did not show up on devices (perhaps it was down), so there was no wifi. Relatedly, the TV was not connected to wifi network (and no cable). The owner did not respond to my query about the wifi. People in other part of the duplex were very loud both nights.
