In Summer: Halfway between Main Street downtown or Westerly and 5 beaches, including Wuskenau (pass and parking pass provided), State beach of Misquamicut, natural Napatree point, and Taylor Swift's favorite expansive East Beach.

In Fall: Near Clyde's Cider Mill, Olde Mystic Village, Westerly theatres and restaurants.

Perfect for families of older kids, not the right place for toddlers under 5 (old house, not childproof). Walking area down sidewalks on East Ave (both sides 1.5 miles, total 3 miles with Moore Woods walking area 1/4 mile straight walk away from house).

Air conditioning in bedroom window units only.

House includes all amenities as if it were your vacation home- spices, soap, towels and linens, basic cooking needs, etc... Great place for a quiet getaway.

Not a house for graduation parties or lots of drinking as it is a quiet neighborhood with quiet neighbors. No animals (even small ones) due to other renter's allergies.

Near golf, kayak rentals, and 1 mile from the center of Westerly's quaint New England Main Street America town featuring famous Wilcox Park, Granite Street Theatre, Shakespeare in the Park, RiverFire and more.

This home is in the perfect spot for touring New England- 45 minutes to Newport and Providence and Casinos. 15 minutes to Stonington CT fishing village. 20 Minutes to Mystic CT. Travel 30 minutes North up route 1A to tour the fishing villages of Galilee, Point Judith, and more. 1 1/2 hours to the heart of Boston. 3 hours to New York City. 20 minutes away catch the ferry in New London CT to famous Block Island or travel farther to Martha's Vineyard- all close enough for a day trip.

Atmosphere: This cottage is not luxurious- it is well-loved. It is a rustic cape cottage near everything that families have used for years as a flophouse going to and returning from the beach. It has all of the original wood cabinetry and charm of a New England cottage in a coastal town. Second bathroom in basement is rustic and intended for washing sand off from the beach.
This is the kind of place my family likes to say 'it's ok to track the sand from the beach into the kitchen' where we sit around all day on the porch playing cards with the kids, listening to music, grilling and telling stories. Bedroom rooms have air conditioning units. We hope you enjoy and love it as much as we have.
