The Great Escape - Port Renfrew

Our cottage is at the end of a dead end road, up on highest hill in the development and offers our guests privacy. It is surrounded on 2 sides by an old growth forest, and the ocean and mountain views from the hot tub and the large deck are spectacular!



Our guests have complete and private access to the entire Cottage, the covered hot tub, and the spacious wrap-around deck, with a covered BBQ area. There's lots of patio tables, seating and a gas fire pit.



Other things to note



The beds in our Cottage are a Queen size in the bedroom and Sofa-bed in the living room is also a Queen sized, as well, with a new memory foam mattress. There is a propane fire pit on the deck, as well as a covered barbecue area.



We just installed a gas heater indoors, as well as a new gas stove, for those days when the power goes out, so you will be warm, cosy and can at least cook.



There is a General Store down the road, but you will want to do your grocery shopping beforehand. They have basic necessities, lots of snack food, and a small liquor selection. If you forget something basic, they probably have it!



There will be a $300 Security Deposit PreAuthorized on your credit card, prior to your Check-in.



Our Cottage is Pet Friendly for dogs. Sorry, no cats.

Scuba diving and snorkelling offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking and mountain biking nearby.

Had an amazing time at the cottage. A perfect getaway to escape from the noise of the city. Situated at the end of a road, at the top of a hill it was very private and topped only by the amazing views from the spa hot tub.

I had a very enjoyable stay at this cabin. It's located on a small hill with a gorgeous view from the deck. It was quiet, clean, and the kitchen was well stocked. My only complaint is that the hot tub was a bit grimy and in need of a cleaning.

This place is in a great location in many ways. Not only is Port Renfrew absolutely breath taking but the cabin itself resides at the end of the little subdivision that it is in. So it’s secluded and has a pleasing view from the deck and spa Perfect for outdoor loving people.

Everything was perfect for our stay. The hot tub and views from the property were very nice and with the cabin being at the end of the road, we had lost of privacy. A nice short walk to the Renfrew Pub as well.

The cabin was clean, pretty secluded (last cabin on the road, forest on one side), and has a nice view of the ocean from the deck and hot tub overtop of the other cabins in the neighborhood. But the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable for adults (my 10yr old thought it was fine), and when it was open it blocked the entire living room floor so you had to crawl over it to get in/out of the front door. Technically one could sleep 4 people in the cabin, but it wouldn't be a comfortable fit! Having Netflix included on the TV in the living room was nice, but it disconnected partway through our stay.Note that Port Renfrew is the last city at the end of the highway, and only has one small local grocery store. Selection is limited and prices much higher than we were used to. Wish we had brought more in our cooler.

The cabin was spotless, the kitchen was well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. We loved the outdoor fire Pitt and used it in the morning with our coffees and books, also in the evenings. The bbq was great, as was the hot tub. We had a great stay…I highly recommend The Great Escape.

Perfect getaway

This cottage is perfect for a couple and dogs. We enjoyed exploring the area and then warming up with the hot tub and firepit later as the weather was everything between sun and hail! It has everything you need to spend a quiet cozy vacation.

Perfect getaway

We came to unwind and relax - get some hikes in and eat good food. We got it all here with the quiet surroundings and the ease of cooking in the kitchen and the bbq. We will be back.

This is a great cabin with wonderful amenities which include a hot tub which is private. They also allow dogs which is an added bonus. The cabin is located centrally and is walkable to coastal cafe kitchen. We loved being here and would definitely book this cabin again in the future.
