We had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect, we rented a car but could easily have walked to the grocery store, restaurants and shopping centers. It was very clean and had all the space we needed for the 4 of us. We cooked a lot and the kitchen had everything we needed. The beach chairs and wagon were perfect for our beach days. Gorgeous Grace Bay is a short 3 minute walk. It was very quiet, we rarely saw other guests at the house and had the pool all to ourselves. It was very helpful to have the washer and dryer for the week. We will be back!
What a great week. Place is close to beach. Pool is great.
We had an amazing vacation. Place had everything we needed. Very quite and easy walk to beach. Enjoyed the pool. Used the beach wagon.
Facts: We booked this because of the great location. We walked to the beach everyday. You can also walk to a ton of shops and restaurants in downtown Grace Bay. The place was very large and was very clean upon our arrival. The owner, Brian, responded immediately to our questions, and gave me the impression he takes great pride in making sure his guests are happy and comfortable. There is a huge fridge, washer and dryer and dishwasher that all seemed new and were very useful. Air conditioning and ceiling fans throughout the place were awesome. The umbrella and beach chairs available for use were great, but we only needed them once or twice. The twin beds and couches were very comfortable. The main bedroom was big and comfortable with another bathroom, but it did tend to get a musty smell. There is also a big tv with access to channels, Netflix, and Amazon; relaxing after a long day at the beach. The pool is shared with the other units, but we only saw people there once during our two week stay. It is a beautiful pool with nice loungers just steps from the house and was basically a private pool for us.
My opinion is if you are a family or group of four it is ideal and cost effective versus a resort. If you are looking for “luxury” or consider yourself “resort people” you might be disappointed. We were extremely pleased all around. Thank you Brian for representing the property very accurately and responding to our needs quickly and kindly.
The location was lovely. It was a bit secluded and we basically had the whole building and pool to ourselves for the first 3 or 4 days. Once some others arrived into the building, you could definitely hear they had arrived. Grace Bay is a short walk with public access straight through the resort. They have bathrooms you can use while at the beach and a bar/ restaurant if you want to order something. Other than Grace Bay, I would recommend having a rental car. The grocery is not walkable, in my opinion. Neither are the other gorgeous beaches. The water is absolutely breathtaking! As far as the interior of the home, it would be a 2.5 stars out of 5 for me. It has everything you need, including air conditioning ( an absolute must in the summer months). The walls are bright and full of interesting works of art. Overall, though, it has the feeling of a bachelor pad. The kitchen and bathrooms seem a bit neglected for cleanliness and repair.
We had a great time, regardless.
I switched my cleaning person/service at the beginning of the year, and I am delighted with her performance. I spoke with Mina about this and it is our thinking that because there was a vacancy for a few weeks it needed a sprucing up. Not sure about the kitchen repair. I replaced the fridge, stove withing the last year, and diswasher this Spring. I will reach out privately for more information. Thanks for the review!
Excellent location with beach access through Grace Bay Club, short walk. Also short walk to grocery store, shops and restaurants. Only rented a car for the last 2 days of the trip when we wanted to see more of the island (Smith Reef, Thurs nite fish fry, etc). Car rental also only 10 min walk. Villa was clean and had everything we needed for the week for three of us with plenty of space. AC works great and kept the villa very comfortable.
leaky pipes and dirty floor make a poor impression
Master bathroom: apparently there was a leaky pipe in unit above, resulting in wet and moldy sheet rock in master bath, along with a dripping of water into the toilet. Sheet rock was removed during our stay (after we complained about water and mold) but the leak was not found, so also not repaired. Rather a trash bucket was placed on the floor in front of the toilet to catch the dripping water by the repair person.
There were insufficient numbers of wine glasses and coffee cups, tile floor had not been washed (socks and feet were extremely dirty, even for a beach place). Need to replace the cleaning service, fill out kitchen utensils and glasses to be competitive with other rental units. Mainly, need to repair master bath ceiling leak.
Location was big plus, but pool maintenance was less than adequate for comparison to surrounding offerings.
Yes, that is true. I was there the week before , and at that time I addressed the leak. I believed it had been fixed, and scheduled the drywall to be replaced. The drywaller, per my instruction replaced all the affected sheetrock except for the area where the drip had originated until we were sure that the problem was solved. Thus the unfortunate bucket during George D's stay. The drip originated from the upstairs neighbor, and thus I was somewhat at his mercy. Trust me, I put much pressure on him and his plumber, and spend hours coordinating between each of our guests. I was able to get the area painted during a turnover. It is all better now.
George also communicated with me the need for new wine glasses. I had replaced all the drinking glasses only the week before, Sometimes my items just disappear! I did take his suggestion to replace the wine glasses but it was too late for his stay.
As for the floor being dirty I do have switched to a new cleaning service. Mina does a fantastic job. My returning guests have commented that they really like the way she cleans.
Sorry for the troubles George. Thanks for the feedback
In the Turks and Caicos on the Island of Providenciales (Provo) near the most sought after location of Grace Bay. The French Riviera development, built in 2004 is reminiscent of a small French village. Located in the lower left (as pictured) of a four-unit building, the original owner, Susie R. named her villa "Le Castellet". Located just steps off Grace Bay Beach area of Providenciales. Grace Bay. It's directly behind the famed Grace Bay Club, with public beach access to all the amenities. The warm golden colors of the building depict the look of Provence. Location is very private with warm tropical breezes and lush landscaping. It's a two story building with my unit Le Castellet on the first floor. It's a two bedroom two bath unit. One of the showers is attached to the master bedroom and is an enclosed Caribbean style shower. There is also a private sunning area in back. Very romantic and tropical.
There is a full kitchen and screened in terrace. The terrace has a large table and chairs for your outdoor dining with a community barbecue within steps for your use.
Only a two minute walk to the famed Grace Bay Beach - consistently rated one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Marvelous turquoise ocean and thirteen miles of powder white sand. You can walk on the beach for sunset, or have a tropical cocktail at the Grace Bay Club's Infinity Bar. Conveniently located to the Provo golf course, most popular restaurants and shopping area. All watersports and tours can be arranged at the very close dive and watersports shops nearby. Please refer to the amenities section on our website at ProvoVilla.
The condo is fully equipped with diswasher, washer/dryer, TV, DVD player, A/C in all rooms and ceiling fans. Tastefully decorated in the Provence colors. The master has a queen bed, the 2nd bedroom has two twin beds that can easily be pushed together, and there is a queen size sofa bed in the living room. All linens are included, beach towels and beach chairs and umbrella available for your use.
There is a large pool and lounge area and barbecue facilities. On a weekly rental one midweek cleaning is included in the fee. Except during off-season rates.
My condo is located right in the center of Grace Bay where you can walk to everything. It's about 200 yards away from one of the world's most beautiful beaches. At least 15 restaurants, dive shops, shopping centers, bike rentals, are all within a few minute walk.
