Large Cozy Comfortable Tahoe Donner House

This wonderful home has a large spacious kitchen and dinning room that’s excellent for entertaining and family gatherings. 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two bunks ( 2 doubles and two twins). Downstairs has another queen bed in a separate area.

This home makes for an amazing family vacation!

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Put sheets and pillowcases from beds that were slept in and dirty towels and wash cloths next to washer and dryer in garage. Leave all mattress protectors, blankets, pillows and comforters in bedrooms
Turn analog thermostat in kitchen/diningroom all the way down and turn down all 3 digital thermostats to 60 degrees and they are in the on position so they can be controlled through Bluetooth.
Close all windows and blinds, When taking trash out to bear box make sure the door to bear box is close and latch is secure otherwise raccoons will get into trash.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Outside lights off at 10pm. Quiet hours from 10pm - 8am. No loud music, parties, fireworks, wood fires or drones.

Great home base for a ski vacation

Had everything we needed! Well-appointed kitchen and plenty of places to sleep! Easy check in/out process and great communication from the property manager. Would stay here again!

Well stocked & Space for All

We enjoyed our stay! The home was bigger than I expected from the pictures. The beds were comfortable. There were keurig pods, a full spice drawer and the host left a little treat for us. We visited Donner Lake, the Donner Tunnels and did a Truckee River float while here. William's house was a great place to recharge between activites.

Prime location!

Literally five minute drive to the slopes and any activities. Super cute house with a fun layout. Loved the fire/stove in the kitchen and being able to use the adjacent garage as a mudroom. (I’m constantly amazed by how many rentals around Tahoe don’t have a mudroom). 3 separate hang out zones was great for traveling with another family so we could have a bit of downtime without always being smushed together or having to interact.So appreciate having basics in the kitchen like coffee, tea, salt/pepper and olive oil. (This is also a trend in Tahoe I have noticed where even just essentials are purged after every guest. I understood this during covid, but the rental is supposed to be someone’s home. It’s nice when it has the things I have at home)Keep in mind that there are plenty of beds, but only 2 private bedrooms. There are 2 bathrooms, but only 1 shower. The home has a multitude of heating and lighting options that are independently controlled. The hosts have done their best to label them and provide instructions, but it took some time to get the hang of it.
