A little mountain magic, a whole lot of adventure, and the perfect place to unwind.
Tucked away on 3.5 beautiful acres, just 3 miles from historic downtown Truckee, our cozy mountain cabin is the ultimate home base for outdoor adventurers, families, and friends looking to make some unforgettable memories.
Surrounded by forest views, all-day sunshine, and trails right outside the back door, this is the kind of place where adventure comes easy and relaxation comes naturally.
Whether you're here to ski, mountain bike, hike, fish, ride your MX or MTB out the door, explore, or simply perfect the art of doing absolutely nothing, you'll find plenty to love.
Adventure Outside. Truckee Charm Just Down the Road.
Start your morning with coffee on the sunny deck, then head out for a day of exploring. Miles of trails await right outside the property, while world-class skiing is just 20 minutes away in winter. Come summer, the area's stunning alpine lakes, hiking trails, and endless outdoor playgrounds are calling.
When you're ready for a change of pace, historic downtown Truckee is just a quick 3-mile drive. Wander through charming boutiques, bookstores, art galleries, and local shops. Catch some live music, discover an amazing restaurant, or grab a drink and soak up the mountain-town atmosphere.
And for those who prefer their culinary adventures closer to home, there's always room for a little backyard barbecuing.
Room to Gather. Space to Unwind.
Our cabin is charming, comfortable, thoughtfully appointed, and designed for easy mountain living. It comfortably sleeps 4 adults and 2 kids, making it an ideal getaway for two couples, a family, or a close-knit crew of friends.
The open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area is the heart of the home. Gather around for meals, settle into the oversized comfy couch, enjoy the warmth of the gas fireplace, or challenge your crew to a little old-school Pac-Man (arcade machine has most old games) competition.
The living room also features a Smart TV for movie nights and lazy mornings.

The Best Part? Life Outside.
The sunny deck is made for slow mornings, afternoon lounging, and long dinners under the mountain sky. Sip your coffee while taking in the forest views, fire up the barbecue after a day on the trails, and enjoy the simple pleasure of being surrounded by nature.
And then there's the hot tub.

Our family had a wonderful time at this property. We especially loved the pool table, hot tub and PacMan machine. The location of the house was perfect. Close to town but far enough away to feel like you were really on vacation in the mountains. We loved every minute.

Thank you Sara! We are so happy you had a fun & relaxing experience. Please return!
The home was far enough away from everything to enjoy the quiet outdoors, but close enough to downtown Truckee and all the lakes and rivers, to make it convenient for anything we wanted to do nearby. We also enjoyed just being at the home playing games, cooking and sitting outside, or in the hot tub.
This is a great place - close to town but enough removed that you can see every star in the sky from the back yard. The house was clean and tidy, and the property owners were very responsive. Private hot tub was used nightly - you just can’t beat those views.
Our stay was amazing! This house is awesome. We made good use of the pool table and the hot tub. We were skiing at Soda Springs and Boreal and the location was ideal. The owners are super nice! We will definitely come back if we can and absolutely recommend this place.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. We are so pleased your family made the most of everything and enjoyed yourselves. Please do come back again!
This house was perfect for two families. The layout and the hot tub were delightful! There is a small hill up the driveway to the house; a little tricky when there is snow or ice but we were able to make it.
Absolutely loved our stay. Billlards, Pac-Man and spa all delivered. Also had sleds and an abundance of spices which made our trip feel like home. The email check in instructions varied from the app and the email was wrong. This made check in a little worrisome but we figured it out quickly. And they were quick to respond. We can’t wait to come back. Loved the updated showers which felt very nice.
Betsy was so easy to get in touch with! Everytime we had any question she responded immediately. The house was so perfect for our family! Pictures don’t do this place justice! Just spectacular. The amount of space the property was incredible. We were able to go out and play in the snow and didn’t even have to leave to find a snow park for the kids. The house was very well kept and very up to date. I hope to make this an annual trip to the snow, and maybe even come for summers as well! Very excited to rent here again
We absolutely loved the house. We stayed for 2 nights at the place. The house is very thoughtfully organized with all the things guests may need during the stay. Specially the common area. We loved the pool table. It was really the highlight of the house. The kitchen and the pantry are very well equipped if you want to stay at home and cook. Our host Betsy was very nice and quick to respond to all the questions we had.
Overall, very peaceful and perfectly distanced from Truckee downtown.
p.s : just like the other reviews, I would mention the house is actually much better than the photos.

Thank you so much for your positive review. We are truly happy you enjoyed yourselves and hope you return again!
I felt the pictures didn’t do justice since in-person home was even more beautiful. The property had plenty of space for the kids to play snow, and we didn’t even have to go elsewhere. Communication with the host was quick! The pool table was the highlight of our stay!
We loved our stay in this home - comfortable beds; clean bathrooms; great open plan kitchen and family room. Husband and teen son loved the pool table and Pac Man. We all loved the space around us; the swing and hot tub. Pictures just don't do the location justice. Make sure you visit Prosser Dam reservoir - perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding with none of the crowds of Donner. Highly recommended.
Stayed here with family for a long weekend. Perfect location to truckee and other special Tahoe spots. Loved our stay, main living room is great for spending time, open concept and lots to do. Enjoyed playing pool, using hot tub and grill. Owners were very responsive throughout stay. We would definitely stay here again.
The property is in a great location and beautiful area just a short drive from downtown Truckee. Everything was spotless and comfy upon our arrival and the pool table and video games were a great bonus!
The house was very clean, and big. The landlords are very friendly and communicative. The hut tub was a blast, it was outside with the trees, great to see the stars. Would definitely recommend it.
Second time staying. We love it. The property is perfect for sledding and fun family snow play without having to leave! Ideal with young kids like we have.
We had a great stay. House is 10 min outside of town and gives the feeling of being in the woods not crowded by others. Owners were very nice and even brought over an emergency generator as people had lost power in recent storms, luckily we didn’t need it.
One warning is the road isn’t plowed as well as some main roads and the driveway had snow on it. Zero problem with 4
wheel drive but would be an issue visiting in a two wheel drive car in a storm (but that’s always an issue in the snow).

Thank you for staying with us! So glad you enjoyed yourselves & thank you especially for helping us out as well with the generator etc. please come stay with us again!
One of the best vacation homes we stayed in a while. Owners were very responsive if we had a question. Definitely a place we would come back to in the future.
We were heading to Truckee for a week stay with my son and daughter-in-law and their kids. This was the perfect home and my grandkids who live in Truckee even bunked with us one night. The bathrooms are beautiful and the beds super comfy. The bunk beds were a hit with the kids and the poor Pac-Man game got a workout from all who stayed. The jacuzzi was the perfect end to the evening each day.
Great cabin, clean, cozy and equipped. Our favorite part is the hot tub. Just beware of the neighbor who pretends to be nice but actually observing you.

So happy you enjoyed your stay. Please come again! I hope you weren’t too bothered by our neighbors. They really are sweet people. Please do let me know tho if an issue arose. Thank you!
