About this property
Modern Cabin Close to Shenandoah National Park with High Speed Wifi
Be the first to stay in our recently renovated cabin!! We have been lovingly restoring this log cabin and we’re so excited to finally debut it for renters! We think you’ll love it.
Welcome to our beautiful, quiet, and secluded retreat nestled in the forest and less than 2 hours from DC! Be one of the first to stay in this lovingly restored post and beam log cabin! The cabin offers rustic simplicity that will help you unwind, including hammocks, a firepit surrounded by beautiful forest, and an extra large screened in porch where you can lounge and watch the sunset through the trees while listening to the sounds of the forest. High speed wifi and two workstations are available to work remotely or need to plug in for a moment before your next hike. This is one of the only vacation homes with reliable high speed comcast WiFi in this area.
The cabin is safe and secluded off a private dirt road, and is close to so many popular attractions:
Bald Top Brewery and Early Mountain Winery, and many other breweries and wineries in the region
pick-your-own orchards and hiking trails at the Market at Grelen and other orchards
Shenandoah National Park hiking trails including Graves Mountain Trail, Whiteoak Canyon, Old Rag, Cedar Run, and other popular trails
dozens of world class antiques stores
Rapidan River kayak launch at Liberty Mills
The house itself is perfect for friends and family to reunite, featuring a brand new, modern eat in kitchen, living room with library and stone fireplace, and king bedroom with home office on the first floor. Upstairs has another king room with a desk and monitor to work, and another room with two queen beds. Each level offers a full bath. All of our beds and bedding are top of the line, luxurious, and comfortable!
In the warmer months, we spend most of our time on the screen porch lounging in hammocks, eating at the large dining table, or doing yoga while surrounded by the forest. Outside we have more hammocks, a grill, and a firepit. Explore the beautiful Virginia Piedmont and Shenandoah Park area!
A few notes about our wonderful cabin: the few neighbors on our small private road enjoy the peace and quiet here as much as we do. We ask that guests not play stereos or make unnecessarily loud noise outside, and that they drive slowly on the road. We have a window unit air conditioner on the first floor and ceiling fans throughout the house. We find it to be comfortable in the summer, but, being a cabin, it does not maintain a constant 70 degrees throughout the day. Tips on keeping the house cool in the summer are included in the house guide. No pets (we are severely allergic!) and no smoking in the house or on the screen porch. We have children’s gear including a pack n’ play available upon request. Lastly, absolutely no parties, events, or unregistered guests are allowed on the property. We truly hope you enjoy your stay.
