The romantic island hideaway "Unterschlupf" in the Lindau island in Lake Constance is a listed house dating from 1765.
The house is located at the end of a quiet lane in the middle of the historic center of the island of Lindau in Lake Constance.
After extensive renovation in 2015 it is now available to our guests. Experience a unique atmosphere - the charm of an old town house combined with modern comfort and exclusively designed boutique style.

We offer our guests 4 floors with over 140 m2 of living space available.
A 36 m2 large roof terrace (balconies) with views over the rooftops of the old town Lindauer invites you in fine weather to linger.

The house offers 3 separate bedrooms with a total of 6 fully-fledged berths. The living and dining room is the meeting place for all and does not have to be converted into a temporary place to sleep as with most apartments.

A small oasis of tranquility is the connected to the living room reading corner.

The fully equipped kitchen offers everything for the ambitious cook round. The matching drop our guests will find the on-site wine cellar.

The house has been lovingly restored and tastefully fitted. Modern design classics in the "boutique style" combined with old wooden floors and historic beams give the house its distinctive charm.

During your holiday it will lack nothing and we want to extend from the outset in the shelter - feel good atmosphere.

A special place

The house is within minutes of everything you could want. Not least a great public transport service. Although the house could sleep six,4 felt very comfortable. We only used the car once in our week long stay and that was very special. The property was very quiet throughout our stay and the roof terrace was wonderful . A brilliant property in an ideal location for a stress free holiday. A small observation is that car parking on the island for tourists for more than a couple of hours is really not possible. We ended up parking the car 1.4 km away after unloading. Understanding the payment for parking is essential. So a walk from the house but a pleasant one and necessary given the huge portion size in German restaurants. A perfect stay thank you.

Eine traumhafte Unterkunft in der man sich wirklich geborgen fühlt, inmitten der schönen Altstadt von Lindau. Mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und renoviert. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Diesen Unterschlupf gerne wieder.

Die Lage mitten auf der Insel ist toll. Zentral aber trotzdem ruhig (wenn der benachbarte Kindergarten Feierabend macht 😉). Eine stilsichere Einrichtung und die fitnessfördernde Bauweise (viele Treppen, nicht Behindertengerecht) haben uns sehr gefallen. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Great hideaway in excellent location

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lindau in this little home away from home. It had everything we needed in a great location. The weather was hot while we were there, so we missed our air conditioning comfort, but for most of the year I don’t think this would be an issue. It was a great base to explore Lindau, Bregenz and Meersburg. Thank you Familie Bangerter!

Der "Unterschlupf" in Lindau ist wirklich nur zu empfehlen; ein top ausgestattetes Feriendomizil, das keine Wünsche offen lässt: sei es die zentrale Lage, ein eigener Weinkeller oder eine riesige Sonnen-Dachterrasse!!!! Zudem kann man sich auf einen herzlichen Empfang freuen und freundliche Betreuung während des Aufenthaltes! Immer wieder gerne ist unser Fazit - wir waren zu fünft :)

Wir bedanken uns für ein tolles Haus ! Es ist wie beschrieben,hat eine traumhafte Lage und ist liebevoll eingerichtet . Die Bäder sind sehr schön und die Betten bequem. Vermieter und Verwalter sind beide gleichermaßen sehr nett und immer erreichbar. Es ist sauber und alle Dinge die man braucht sind vor Ort. Sehr zu empfehlen

Lebevoll restauriert - geschmackvoll eingerichtet

Wir haben mit fünf Personen eine tolle Urlaubswoche im "Unterschlupf" in Lindau verbracht und haben jede Minute dort genossen. Die Wohnung befindet sich mitten in der Altstadt in einem sehr liebevoll restaurierten Altbau und ist hochwertig und stilvoll eingerichtet. Alle Geschäfte für den täglichen Bedarf (z.B. Supermarkt, Bäcker, Schlachter, Markt (Sa. und Mi.) Restaurants) sind in weniger als 5 Minuten fußläufig zu erreichen. Zum Be- und Entladen kann das Auto dirket vor der Tür abgestellt werden, ansonsten empfiehlt es sich, das Fahrzeug auf dem Parkplatz 3 direkt vor der Insel abzustellen, auch hier benötigt man für den Fußweg nur ca. 5 Minuten. Die Wohnung war bei unserer Ankunft "picobello" sauber und der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter sowie die Betreuung vor Ort waren sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Die Beschreibung und die Bilder des Hauses stellen den tatsächlichen Zustand sehr gut dar. Direkt gegenüber der Wohnung befindet sich ein Kindergarten, was uns aber überhaupt nicht gestört hat. Wir können die Wohnung ohne jede Einschränkung empfehlen!!!
