About this property

Comfortable, Convenient, Hot Tub and Freshly Renovated!!

Freshly renovated (April 2019) adorable,two bedroom/two bath cottage located in private development just off of Buck Creek Road. Cottage is located on High Cotton Lane which is off of Buck Creek Road just past Chestnut Hill Retirement Village and soccer fields. Remodeled and updated recently, this cute little gem is the perfect place for a quiet weekend get a way. With warm, maple cabinetry and all new appliances you would be very comfortable in our little mountain retreat. Our stone fireplace is very cozy on cool morning and evenings. New blinds in both bedrooms and a privacy fence around our hot tub. Our cottage is located just 2.8 miles from main street Highlands and a short 15 minute drive to Cashiers. Our brand new hot tub seats 4 adults and is maintained by a local spa company.

Short family fishing trip.

Loved this little place. Had everything we needed for our short family trip and we loved it was close to our favorite bbq spot in Highlands. Nice lil area to walk your dog near the property and nice hot tub as an added amenity.

Wonderful Anniversary

We celebrated our 51st anniversary here. Have been doing this for almost 30 years. This is our first stay here. The place is very convenient, quiet, and peaceful. It is very cozy, and the hot tub great after a day of hiking and "running around". Would absolutely stay here again.

We had never been to Highlands. Nice area. Very pretty. This rental was great for a small family. Hot tub was fabulous and a nice bonus. Very close to downtown Highlands.

Cute and cozy!

We booked this little cottage for a girls weekend and it was just what we needed! The hot tub and gas fireplace were such a treat. The host was responsive with issues, and we were pleased with the cleanliness of the house. The location is great too - close to several little mountain towns and hiking locations. We had a wonderful time and this was the perfect home for our family and dogs. We hiked and did some shopping. The owner was great to work with and was very attentive to our need. Hot tub was great after a day of hiking. Highly recommend.

Perfect for our short visit

Cute little rental neighborhood with several modular home cottages. You can hear buck creek but you can't see it. Very quiet especially because we were the only people there. Close to downtown Highlands. Small but homey and clean. Hot tub was already on and waiting for us.

Nice little cabin.

We enjoyed our stay. Nice little neighborhood. You can hear the cascading creek from the porch. There was an issue with something not working but the host was very responsive, on top of it, and made accommodations for it. We recommend.

Hiking Trip

Good communication with the host. Very convenient to everything Highlands and good hikes! The area was quiet and loved hearing the sound of the waterfalls. They have a little pet area that our 2 dogs used. Enjoyed the hot tub, fireplace and everything was comfy inside.

This cottage had everything we needed. Comfortable beds. Separate baths. Full kitchen. Quiet area and pet friendly. The owner was very helpful putting in a new coffee maker when the existing one broke before we arrived. 👍

I am a retired school teacher from south west Georgia. I purchased my home in Highlands to get away from the sweltering heat of south west Georgia in the summer. I love Highlands and its cool summer temperatures. The elevation of 4, 118 feet guarantees a much cooler summer than I get in south Georgia.

Why they chose this property

Highlands is a great vacation destination with something for everyone. Highlands is a unique town in that you can be as casual as you want or as formal as you like. Highlands offers small town charm with New York sophistication. The shopkeepers are extremely nice and everyone is very friendly. The shops on main street offer everything from an ice cream cone to furniture to fur coats.
