They lied about having a hot tub, switched the locks and locked us out of the room at night, it was filled with bugs throughout, dirty, and loud from the people upstairs.

I enjoyed my stay. They went above and beyond helping me and my daughter to use public transportation and it saved money and headache. Informed us about things to do and visit. I really appreciate all the help. The place is accurately displayed and described. It is a basement nicely furnished. I am 6feet tall and only one spot was low. Clean and comfortable for the price, the jacuzzi was a nice touch! Check in was flawless. Convenient to bus stop to New York. Very close to the airport. Good price, will rent again.

Not what I expected….

Prior to booking, the pictures depict an entire house which is what I thought I’d be staying in. However upon arrival, after numerous attempts of the check in process I came to realize that our entrance wasn’t in the front, it was on the side. A very tight, small, space, not ideal for cooking meals as there is no stove, just a hot plate, the tv cable was not working, it went in and out so we just winded up not watching tv, the bathroom is small and tight, the beds are also small. The backyard is nice. Other than that. I wouldn’t stay here again it’s more ideal for a single person who doesn’t mind being cramped in a small place

Don't be tall

My significant other is 6' 1" and hit his head a bunch at this property. We also could not find any emergency exit out of the basement other than the entry door as all the windows were quite small and wouldn't open. The shower leaked all over the floor as it didn't have a door or curtain and 1/2 wall didn't cover where the water hit. Lastly the linens were so heavily scented it gave me a horrible headache. This is the 1st vrbo I haven't loved staying glad it was only 1 night. Good things about the property: check in is easy with door code check in instructions came the day of check in. Bright and clean for being a basement

It was ok.

So it was our anniversary and we wanted to get out of the city for a couple days. When we 1st got there to check in at 3pm, the code for the door was wrong and it took 45 minutes as well as talking to 2 different customer service representatives in order to get in touch with the property manager... After finally getting inside, the place was nice and clean. Though the tv in the living room wasnt connected to anything so watching tv was strictly in the room. I mostly got this place for the jacuzzi and fire pit but apparently the jacuzzi was and extra $50 extra to use.. and figured the fire pit would also cost more so didnt do either one... The ceiling was very low so wouldnt suggest anyone taller than 5'7" staying there. The neighborhood was cute and not far from the park but when it came to eat, everything was a distance away. Other than that, it was ok for what it was.

Not clear and was misleading

The stay was not what i expected from the pictures. We were trying to get in for almost an hour due the host responding at a slow pace. Once we got in all the room doors had code locks as well. I was not told that I would be entering the side of the house to the basement which was creepy. It was very cold were you can not control the temperature and the fireplace that is in the living does not work and some of the plugs does not work. The shower did not have a door and I wish I would have reviewed others reviews prior to booking. There is no privacy it’s like an apartment were a family is upstairs and in the back there is an RV that I believe the host is living in were the hot tub and fire pit is which is very uncomfortable. The drive way is shared were you have to communicate with the other guests to move the vehicle because they were taking up the whole drive way. When reaching out to the host was a slow response so I had to knock on the door. Luckily I was not in front of the driver because I would have missed my check out time. To top everything off I only got this place because the hot tub. Unfortunately the hot tub was under maintenance so we couldn’t even use the hot tub which is false advertisement. Please contact them ahead of time to guarantee you are getting what you pay for. Hope this helps others out prior to booking.

The neighborhood is really quiet, safe and diverse (American, Portuguese, Brazilian and Latin American). Trust me, you will need a nice and quiet place to rest after you are done exploring New York City. There's a Walgreens 2 blocks from the house to buy basic items and a Dunkin Donuts for a quick breakfast
