The property had a good layout and we enjoyed the views. The open living area was nice and the beds were comfortable. Check in was simple and the community seemed like it had good amenities though we didn’t use them because it was not warm weather.
We had a great weekend away at Moonlight Ridge. House was great — fantastic views from the deck, house was clean and very well stocked with all we needed.

Love this cabin and Susan Chaney! In my opinion, this is one of the best captains that I’ve ever stayed at. Had a great time in the mountains and look forward to coming back.
The owner was very accommodating, the house was clean and the location was perfect for what we were looking for. We enjoyed the peaceful setting (we sipped coffee while watching deer and turkeys from the porch some mornings) but also appreciated that the towns of Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk were only a short drive away.
We had a great stay at this cabin. It was very clean and accommodated our group well. We especially enjoyed the fire pit and walking our dog around the neighborhood. It was also nice that they had a Christmas tree up, since we were there for the holidays. We would definitely stay again!!
We had an amazing time here. Everything was perfect from the house, to the views and even all the wildlife we had every day. We are looking forward to coming back soon!
The property manager was very kind, the house was supper clean, beautiful and comfortable nothing was missing for our experience we are definitely will bake with big smile. Thank you for great vacation
The house is in a Wonderful neighborhood in rural watagua county, not far from Wilkes and Caldwell counties. Amazing hiking trails and clubhouse. The home is updated and very comfortable. Great place to get away from it all.

We stayed in the cabin with our family and friends, and dog. Extremely clean and spacious. We love the wideopen kitchen and living room area.
Home was beautiful and impeccably clean. It is well furnished and essential supplies provided. Loved the deck. That said it was a long, long way from everything over the most winding, narrow roads I have ever seen. If you are looking for a place to cocoon with your family this is perfect. If you want to go into Boone or Blowing Rock, maybe not so perfect. For those with mobility issues, descriptions states only one step to get in but it is an awkward, uneven step.
We unfortunately could only stay for two nights, the property had everything one would need. It was clean and modern on the inside. Such a cozy property with a lot of space. We will return.
Beautiful home on top of a mountain with amazing view from deck, Great location about 20 minutes away from Boone. Response and friendly property manager.
The property was very nice...modern. The location of the cabin is further into the woods. Expect a drive with twists and turns. The isolation was nice though.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
The communication was the best part for me! We had small children and lots of questions. They responded in a timely manner, provided options for local attractions, connections to a dula, and realistic conditions. Everything we needed to make this trip a Success!
Exactly as described. Very open A frame. High ceiling with loft. Lots of windows very bright and warm. Screened in porch overlooking the mountains. Recommend
This house is as remote as the description indicates. There is abundant seating without crowding. Everything looks new and is spotless.
The kitchen has every type of cookware, serving dish and gadget, but we still ate every meal out. There are way more plates, glasses and utensils than could ever be needed, all perfect.
The screen porch was nice in the evening, but we did not use the fire pit or other outdoor seating areas. A lot of thought went into the layout and design.
This is the perfect getaway.
We had a great time at Moonlight Ridge! We went for my kid’s Spring Break the first week of April. Most nearby attractions don’t open until mid-late April, so we missed out on some activities. Regardless, it was perfect weather for hiking, camping, campfires, biking, etc.
The neighborhood had some great trails for all age levels.
The house had everything we needed: stocked kitchen supplies, blankets, towels and games for the kids. The fireplace was not available for use which I wish I knew about before booking.
The screened in porch was my favorite place for watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee.

This place is amazing especially if you want to unplug. The home is literally on the top of the mountain surrounded by trees. It’s very peaceful and a great place to go and unwind. There’s literally a trailhead right down the road from the home too. The home is fabulous it’s equipped with everything you need. My suggestion is stop at a grocery store prior to arrival you will not want to leave the property once you are there. My favorite part was the screened in porch overlooking the majestic views. I highly recommend this home we enjoyed it so much we are going back in 3 weeks.

The house was everything that it was suppose to be! Well maintained beautiful wood work. The community was a let down for us, as we booked that location for the ease of eve amenities. The pool is not heated it’s freezing, the paddle boats were all broken and kayak were tied up, not for rental use. The club house the one person in the club house was so rude when I was just sitting in there to get out of the heat for five mins. Said I couldn’t be in there. When clearly in the rental it is said that we have use of clubhouse and all. For this reason I would not book again but for the house it was amazing!
