First time on the VRBO market! This charming monthly rental home is located in the French Quarter in a quite residential area called the Exchange, for its proximity to the Exchange Dungeon on Broad and Meeting Streets. From the living room and entry you catch glimpses of River Front Park and the bay. Just one block to the Market, a block in front of Rainbow Row the house is an in town oasis. Walk to the dog park at the end of the picturesque street or on the the Battery. The area is a quick jaunt to Broad or King Street.

Spend the day in the back patio or lounging in the house when you are not shopping the near by boutiques, dining in the world class restaurants or exploring the cobble stone streets of the Holy City. Open the living room windows and you see the horse drawn carriages go by. Look out over the tops of the lush window boxes and you"ll feel like you are in another century.

The living room is welcoming with chic gold and creams, full of light, spacious and flows into a dining room that is done to reflect the charm of the old south. The stunning antique French chandelier and dental moldings remind us of another time. The contemporary kitchen is stocked with a new Jura grind and brew coffee/cappuccino machine.

The home is 3 bedroom, one king and 2 queens beds up stairs, the bathroom are all modern and well appointed. The mattresses are all top of the line new Kings Down, the master suite has a split king that reclines. The Theodore Alexander India Silk bed is the center piece of this spacious room with generous storage. Original Oriental carpets are through out the home, adding to the graciousness of the space.

The cottage bedroom comes with a queen bed and a library of classic reading materials. The shelves have various antiques around the area. The art too is original and curated with a theme of Spoleto and pineapples. The back bedroom is a jaw dropper with the traditional for poster whose posts are clear acrylic.

The new decor is a stunning a mix of Old World Charleston meets the modern edge contemporary. Exterior security cameras, keyless deadbolts, original art TV's and wireless Sonos music system are all included. Plus a wireless printer for work from home.

“We have just returned from our stay in your lovely home at 3 Exchange Street. The location was superb and the house met all of our needs. Our friends stayed with us for three days and they loved the courtyard. I think they sat outside every morning they were there and enjoyed the delightful space. We especially enjoyed the nice kitchen and dining area. Thank you again for having everything ready for us and so nice when we arrived. We will definitely be referring you as a host and your lovely home to our friends who want to visit Charleston.”

Sincerely,
Trese 2023

Great house and location
My husband and I stayed for 6 weeks with frequent company joining us. It is a very comfortable house and nicely decorated. The outdoor courtyard feels like you could be in Europe somewhere. The location is awesome. A block from Rainbow Row and a block from the Cooper river. Also walking distance to tons of restaurants.

Historic Elegance in a Prime Location
Don't miss an opportunity to stay in this classic historical property located steps away from the Cooper River, the Waterfront Park, Rainbow Row and the center of historic Charleston. The exterior of the property is classic Charleston, including a private courtyard for relaxing outdoors. The interior is high-end elegance. The furnishings and appliances are top of the line. The beds are all very comfortable. The bathrooms are large and beautiful. There are many windows and the house floods in sunshine during the day. You can easily walk to many wonderful restaurants and bars but the neighborhood is quiet and feels very residential. The owners are responsive, welcoming and friendly. They clearly love their home based on their attention to detail and the cleanliness of the property inside and out. It was a treat to be able to experience living in this home for the month of June. We hope to return soon.
