Escape to Mountain Crest, a quiet mountaintop retreat designed for guests who value privacy, nature, and a true getaway experience. Set on five secluded acres, this authentic log cabin offers sweeping panoramic views—up to 100 miles on clear days.
What You’ll Love • Total seclusion on private acreage • Expansive long-range mountain views • Cozy, authentic log cabin atmosphere • Wildlife sightings right outside your door • WiFi + Satellite TV (when you want to reconnect)
A Different Kind of Stay This is not a resort or a polished luxury rental—it’s a genuine retreat. We’re a family sharing a place we love, kept intentionally natural. Instead of manicured lawns, you’ll find open mountain terrain where deer, birds, and other wildlife roam freely.
To help preserve the peaceful environment and protect the wildlife, hunting and the use of firearms are not permitted on the property.
Inside the Cabin The interior is warm and inviting, with massive log construction that creates a cozy, grounded feel. It’s an ideal space for a romantic getaway or uninterrupted time with family—simple, comfortable, and intentionally removed from the noise of everyday life.
Seasonal Access (Important) Winter brings incredible beauty—but also real conditions. A high-clearance 4WD vehicle is strongly recommended, and tire chains may be needed depending on weather. The gravel access road helps preserve the privacy and setting, but it is not suitable for motorcycles.
Why Guests Choose Mountain Crest Guests don’t come here for luxury finishes—they come for the stillness, the views, and the feeling of having a mountain to themselves.
If that’s what you’re looking for, you’ll feel right at home here.

Beautuful natural surroundings. The cabin was outstanding. Very comfortable and clean with a large kitchen. It had a gorgeous wrap around deck with a stunning view. We can't wait to come back.
Very clean, awesome property with great owners. I highly recommend this location - it’s worth the drive. If you want a peaceful stay with spectacular views this is your place!
Exactly what we wanted for the weekend. Pet friendly, quiet, fantastic outdoor space and had anything we could have needed. Stairs inside the cabin were too tricky for the dog, but the host was great and told us all of that in advance. The stairs did not hinder how awesome this cabin was and it is very well maintained. Would 100% stay again!
Hi Jarrid, Your reservation for that one day worked out well. Glad that we were able to accommodate you. Thank you for the compliment and the thoughtful review. We pride ourselves on the the authenticity of Mountain Crest. Should you come this way again, remind me and I will extend to you a repeat guest discount.
The hosts recently updated an already spacious log home. It is a quiet hideaway with virtually zero traffic. This has been our 2nd spring trip there and it was even better than last year with the updated. Great rental!
We loved exploring during the day and then coming home to this quiet, scenic spot in the evening!

Hi Jenny, Recharging on your own, quiet, little mountaintop after a full day of exploring sounds like a fun way to enjoy your time in the hills. Happy it all worked well for you.
This property was fantastic! It was a real nature retreat, we did not hear any traffic, only birds and nature. A few mornings I saw deer on the property, and so many birds! The peace was exactly what we had hoped for. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed to cook meals and relax. We will definitely be back!
Hey Bryan, Pleased to know that you great time and that we were able to meet your expectations. Would love to welcome you back at some future date and extent to you our 'repeat guest' discount.
The views are breath taking and the cabin is cozy and comfortable. It was a perfect place to get away from it all. We loved our time there and we definitely recommend it!

Hi Jillian, Thank you for recommending Mountain Crest Log Cabin to others. Pleased to know that you found it the perfect place to get away to and that you loved your time there. Hope you can make back again down the road.
Hi Ronald, Thank you for the feedback. Appreciate the compliment about the cabin's amenities. Pleased to know that you enjoyed your stay. Great that it worked out that we were able to extend it by that extra night for you.
This place was well described, from the cabin, to the stairs, the driveway, and the fire pit. Would definitely recommend! Quiet, peaceful, clean, and lovely. I would like to come back someday. I can see why the guest book has repeat visitors. The stairs are interesting, but manageable if you’re pretty mobile and not disabled. And be careful when standing in bedrooms, beams are a little close if your a taller person:)
This was a wonderful place to stay. Had a wonderful time. Will keep this in mind for our future visits.

My family and I have stayed in many VRBO's, and this is probably the most well stocked place we stayed in if you are wanting to do any cooking or grilling. Clean, and pretty secluded.
