This spot on Taylor Street is just under half a mile to Forsyth Park, or just over half a mile to River Street! Close enough to all the tourist destinations but out of the crowds in a quiet residential area. One block to Whitefield Square (the square with the gazebo where many weddings take place).

You park 2 cars off-street and if you have a 3rd car you may park on the public street for free

Good enough for me

First off, let me remind the reader that this is a historic property. This means that there's only so much the property owner can do to update it. This isn't a luxury, modern house. This is a classic, historic house that will suit the needs of 90% of those who are visiting Savannah. 1) Plenty of hot water for everyone's shower needs. 2) The beds are comfy and the bedding is nice and warm (if that's what you need). We stayed there in December during a cold snap. The thermostat was able to be adjusted to our liking and the rooms seemed to be evenly heated. 3) The location is very nice and quiet. Walking to downtown is a jaunt. A little more than a mile. I enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and seeing the historic squares and other buildings. There is also private off-street parking behind the property or public on-street parking in front of the home. 4) The home was relatively clean and well kept. Although, furniture was uncomfortable. Could stand for some interior maintenance. 5) Wifi was good and the large TV was nice to be able to stream on. There was a Sonos sound bar for the V and a separate Sonos speaker to play music on. 6) The patio furniture was nice. Standard wicker set. We did not use it due to the cold weather but I think it would be pleasant for better weather. I did enjoy sitting on the back covered porch watching the squirrels jump from tree to tree. You should not book this house if you have trouble climbing stairs.

Not worth the price

All seating was horrible - unless you were 4’tall. Most uncomfortable seating ever in a VRBO. No local tv available. Trip hazards from throw rugs in dining and living rooms. Beds made squeaky and groaning noises when you laid on them. Deck and yard area was nice.

This is a newer construction home in the Historic District. This home was built in 2000 on a rare vacant lot in the Landmark Historic District making it a great choice for those who prefer newer homes instead of the 200 year old homes that make up the majority of the downtown.
