There's nothing wrong with this place. The bathrooms have been re done and the mattress's are new and memory foam, very nice. We're in our middle 60's and don't have a problem with the stairs. You'll get your heart rate up a bit while unloading and loading. We don't mind because you need the exercise to counter act all the food you eat on vacation. If you have a problem with a few stairs I don't know why you're up on Beech Mountain in the first place. Everybody complains but doesn't mention that it's the cheapest two bedroom in the area that isn't a condo with people all around you. People talk about cleanliness. I can only imagine the difficulty finding quality housekeepers in this part of the country. The beating one's vehicle takes just driving up, down and around a beast like Beech has got to drive up maintenance and repair costs considerably.

Upon arriving we knew there would be stairs, however 42 steps to enter the property in the front and another 22 to enter from the back was rough on all of us who are all under 50, it was especially rough for our 15 year old service dog. There is no type of yard except for where the very small fire pit is which had trash in it when we arrived. This is an older home so there is that old smell but the carpet is stained pretty bad in one room, the dishes were not very clean at all and I think they have a carpenter bee in the ceiling as wood kept falling onto the recliner from above. We cut our trip short because of the cleanliness mostly and the fact that the steps were just way too much. The best part is the wildlife you will see but this was just not the place for us.

The location was great, the house is very old, the furniture were very old and large for a such a small living room, the equipment are very old, but it was wonderful for us staying in a cold climate and appreciate our Florida.
The stairs to the cabin were many, but they were brand new and not slippery. The lights didn’t work well along the steps, but we used our phone lights. The loft is not going to be usable to everyone, but our 13 yo son loved it. This house was perfect for us.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your concerns regarding the cabin. Since your stay, the carpets have been professionally cleaned, and the steps are scheduled to be replaced as part of ongoing maintenance and improvement. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, as it helps us address areas that need attention for future guests.
The property was nice; location was good. The backyard was a bit overgrown, and the firepit was unkept and had trash in it. The cabin was comfortable and it was very nice. The landscaping needs some improvements. Overall I would say 8/10. Would stay again with updates.
For the price this little cabin was perfectly fine. There were a couple areas that needed attention, primarily the bathrooms, but otherwise it was fine. Location was great and the price was right. Would definitely stay again.
Adequate for my 2 adults sons and I for 2 nights. House furnishings are a little data, but not bad for the price. The grounds could be better attended to in addition to more detail given towards those laundering the bed linens.

Cute little house
We had a wonderful stay, there are games already there to play with the family. We didn’t need to provide anything other than personal items. Had a wonderful visit to the area. The house was clean upon our arrival.
We stayed with friends to go hiking at Roan Mountain and enjoy the quaintness of Beech Mountain. I can say this property is ideal for anybody with dogs. It exceed our expectations. We'll be back!

The cabin is in a great location, we loved the fireplace and enjoyed the view with a warm hot chocolate. The oven in the Kitchen it wasn't working well, but we could manage. Close to the cabin you can find restaurants, entertainment and markets. The cabin was clean, provided some wood and very cozy blankets, and they have a good wifi signal too. Definitely we will come back again! Take in mind that you have to walk stairs to go into the cabin , for us that wasn't a big problem, we love to hike ;)
Overall not perfect but would stay again. 3 star just because upon arrival the house had a rotten smell due to fish washer not working. Property manager called upon arrival and told us this though. Overall not a bad place and very close to the slopes

Hi Cory, thank you for your visit. We are sorry for any odors coming from the old dishwasher. We are working to replace it with a new one asap. We would love to host you again very soon.
It was very clean, had all the necessities. There were a couple of things...we didnt see a propane grill only charcoal and the bottom piece to let it vent was broken but we were still able to use it, just carefully. Idk if we weren't doing something right or what but we couldnt get the big kitchen window to lock or the living room.

Great location
We came up to get away from the hustle and bustle of work and everything each of us has going on. This house definitely helped us unwind. Great location. The house had everything we needed but a pizza cutter but we used a knife so we were good. Those steps to the house will let you know that you're out of shape for sure. You will also use steps going to the firepit area as well. So keep that in mind (in case anyone has a issue with stairs) If you can definitely ride the alpine roller-coaster.
