About this property

Elegant and roomy In Wellfleet woods - quiet; near pond, beach, bay and town

This is just a beautiful home - spacious with sitting area, dining area and kitchen in one fine open plan. The kitchen has an island for fun communal cooking. Outside there are luxurious mahogany decks that wrap around the house and an outdoor shower. The living room and the sitting areas are lush and comfortable. The view is beautiful all around into the woods through double sliding doors and bay windows. The bathrooms are marbled and have bidets and are spacious.

Downstairs there are two bedrooms and a small extra room with a twin bed, bathroom w a bidet, shower as well as the comfortable living, dining and kitchen area.

Upstairs there is a lovely master bedroom with sky light, bay window and double slider to a balcony overlooking the garden and woods. The second queen bedroom is simple and elegant with a big sky light.. The upstairs full bathroom has a very generous tub, a bidet and tiled in marble.

Basement has the TOYS! bikes, pool table, foosball, darts, ping pong table, kayaks, boogie boards and beach toys. Please note: no central air conditioning altho master bedroom has window unit. Bring your own linens.

The house is smaller than expected given how many bedrooms are advertised and needs repairs. The downstairs bedrooms are tiny, there is an attached owner’s studio which is not in the description, and the deck is too small for a group larger than four. Communication with the owner was slow. A well-appointed kitchen, nice bathrooms, lovely master bedroom, quiet location are the plusses.

Nice place you got there......

First off, the house is beautiful and the amenities were superb. Plus we had no complaints about how they kept the house. Clean as a whistle. Second off, I really love the location of the house. It's in a quiet neighborhood with very friendly neighbors and it's very close to some of the most best beaches in the world. And yet it is also close to town and many restaurants and sightseeing places...The cedar forest along the beach near the Marconi trans-Atlantic radio cable. Not to mention Cahoon's Hollow and some the most best dunes anywhere...

This house is the result of many years of dreaming of a home by the beach. Verena's mother made it possible by gifting her enough money to make a payment on the land.
She had had the same dream. We designed the house to be comfortable enough for us to stay privately in the studio and still have a very large house for larger groups of people to enjoy. It makes for an interesting lay-out.

Verena is an acupuncturist, doctor of Chinese medicine, herbalist and nutritionist. David coaches leaders of non-profits and small businesses on strategic planning, revenue and fundraising, and leadership development.

Why they chose this property

Verena's mother loved the ocean and built a house and so did we!
