Escape to the East Texas pines at Sugarberry Cabin, a peaceful 3-bedroom, 1.5-bath retreat in Rayburn Country, just minutes from Lake Sam Rayburn and Rayburn Resort.

Tucked away at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, the cabin sits on a private, fenced ¼-acre property surrounded by trees. Start your morning with coffee on the elevated front deck, spend the day boating, fishing, golfing or exploring the lake, then come home to grill dinner and relax around the fire pit.

THE CABIN

Sugarberry comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests:

Bedroom 1: Queen bed
Bedroom 2: Twin-over-full bunk bed
Bedroom 3: Two twin beds
Bathrooms: 1 full bath + 1 half bath

The cabin includes a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, high-speed fiber Wi-Fi, Spectrum TV with Xumo, and ceiling fans throughout the first floor.

OUTDOOR LIVING

Enjoy the wooded setting from the elevated front deck or spend the evening outside around the fire pit. A gas grill and charcoal grill are available for cookouts.

The fenced yard provides additional privacy and makes Sugarberry especially convenient for guests traveling with dogs.

Thermostat & fans Before leaving, please set the thermostat to 78°F, turn off the ceiling fans and lights, and make sure all exterior doors are securely locked.
Trash & gate Place all bagged trash in the large blue bin under the carport. As you leave, please close and secure the entrance gate behind you. Safe travels!
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Quiet hours Please respect our neighbors. Quiet hours are 12AM – 8AM. Keep outdoor music, voices and other noise at a reasonable level.
Fire Safety Never leave the fire pit or grills unattended. Fully extinguish fires and charcoal after use. Follow all local burn bans and restrictions
Gate and Wildlife Keep the entrance gate closed. Secure food and trash, do not feed wildlife, and place all bagged trash in blue bin under the carport

Our travel group found the Sugarberry Cabin perfect for the fishing trip that we were on. The cabin is clean, very well outfitted and convenient to the lake. Boat parking was also great. We will try to stay here again if we are in the area.

We stayed for the Sealy big bass tourney weekend and you cannot find a better place to rent. Everything about the house was perfect. The layout of the house is perfect and it has a fenced in yard which was perfect for my dog to stretch his legs out. It has a covered parking for the boat and it is located away from everyone else. Fishing Tournament

We had a pleasant stay. Cleanliness could have been better but we were so busy I didn’t realize it I was cleaning up prior to departure. But overall a nice stay. We would recommend and would stay again.

Perfect place for us

This was the perfect place for us. Bedrooms downstairs and living room and kitchen upstairs. The whole place was fenced so my doggies were contained. So quiet. Peaceful. Went to the marina and the pool (be careful, only open on Tuesday - Sunday. Overall great place. We were very comfy and it was very clean.

Perfect stay

The cabin was very comfortable and it was immaculately clean. We are remodeling a cabin 45 minutes away and wanted a place to stay so we could work/easily travel back and forth for a few days. My family loved staying at the cabin in Brookeland. The beds and living spaces were comfortable, it was equipped with movies and games to keep my kids occupied, and pretty much everything I needed to prepare meals in the kitchen. We really enjoyed roasting marshmallows out back one night too. Highly recommend for families!

Very enjoyable.

The owner was very easy to work with. He responded quickly to messages, never bothered us while we were there and did not make a great deal of demands for checking in or out. The cabin is cute, the location is little hard to find, but with navigation, no big deal. We were 4 miles from the Rayburn Country Resort/Splash Beach, the marina is right there. Rayburn Country Club is about 2 minutes. The Dollar Store and restaurant, The Stump, are 2 or 3 minutes way. So we were very pleased with the location. I highly recommend the place.

Cabin in the woods!!!

This cabin is a great hideaway. It’s at the end of a gravel street tucked back in the woods. It has a carport to park under which was awesome so we didn’t have to get in a sun baked car. We accidentally locked ourselves out once and someone was there with a key pretty quickly to let us in. We didn’t notice in the listing but there is no tub. Only a shower. Not the end of the world but would have been nice to have.

Cozy and Beautirful

There is no food here or staples so bring your own. This is a cabin make no mistake about it.. It is not a cottage or a house. It is comfortable and isolated though.

I grew up in this part of East Texas, where some of my favorite memories were made fishing, hunting, building treehouses, and exploring the woods, creeks, and bayous. Today, I live in the Houston area and work at NASA's Johnson Space Center, but this part of East Texas has always felt like home.

I still have family in the area, and Sugarberry Cabin gives our family a place to come back, reconnect, enjoy the outdoors, and slow down from life in the city.

We enjoy sharing the cabin with guests because it gives others a chance to experience some of the things I've always loved about this area—Lake Sam Rayburn, the tall pines, quiet evenings, and the relaxed pace of East Texas.

Why they chose this property

Rayburn Country gives us the best of both worlds. We're surrounded by the East Texas woods and just minutes from Lake Sam Rayburn, where I grew up fishing and spending time outdoors, while still having the conveniences and amenities of Rayburn Resort nearby.

We love being able to spend the day fishing, boating, exploring, or simply relaxing at the cabin and still have nearby options for golf, dining, coffee, swimming, and entertainment.

Most of all, coming here feels like leaving the city behind. The pine trees, lake, wildlife, and slower pace are exactly what we wanted when we chose a place to return to and share with our family and guests.

What makes this property unique

Sugarberry Cabin feels a little like a hunting and fishing lodge mixed with a grown-up treehouse.

Perched on a hill among tall pine trees, the cabin feels tucked into the woods even though Lake Sam Rayburn and Rayburn Resort are only minutes away. From the elevated deck, you're surrounded by trees and can sit with your morning coffee and enjoy the quiet of the East Texas woods.

The cabin itself is part of the experience. Its cedar exterior and warm yellow-pine interior give it the character of a true country cabin—not simply another house in a neighborhood.

It's comfortable and cozy without losing the rustic feeling we love. Whether you're coming back from a day on the lake, grilling dinner, sitting around the fire pit, or relaxing on the deck, we hope Sugarberry gives you that same feeling we get every time we arrive: we're out of the city and back in the country.
