beautiful
The cottage was very cozy and the lake was very inviting. The quietness is unbelievable. Hearing loons in the morning and evening was peaceful. So many deer and critters to watch.

Beautiful cabin
The cabin was very nice and the couches were very comfortable and the kitchen was awesome but the bed in the master bedroom was very old and not comfortable at all felt like the springs we were sleeping on springs and it hurt my back and my wife's back and in the bathroom the toilet leaked water onto the floor. It was a great place to stay with my granddaughters the beach and being on the lake was awesome and the sunrise and sunset were amazing. It was a awesome cabin to take your family and there was a really nice beach down the road where my granddaughters played in the water most of the day and the owner of the property was very responsive with all of my questions and issues we had. It was a wonderful place to stay. Thank you.

Nice Lake Cottage
Spent a week at the cottage on Lake Louise with my spouse. We liked the peaceful view and is a great place to kayak. Bring your floats as the lake bottom is not very sandy. We enjoyed fishing for Bass off the dock and fished some of the other small lakes in the area. Spent time on the porch reading. Surprisingly we received a better cell phone signal (AT&T) on the porch than at our home on the suburbs. We especially liked the new appliances and the use of a washer and dryer. It’s an easy day trip to Mackinaw Island and Ocqueoc Falls is close by. On the way home my spouse asked if we could book again for next year.

Why they chose this property

You can feel the love here. I fell in love with my late husband up here not once, or twice, but three times. The peacefulness and nature all around was and continues to be enthralling. The second time was a very romantic snowmobiling trip on New Year's Eve 1990 and afterwards we had champagne toasts to bring in the new year. The third time was bringing our boys up with us to enjoy this raw beauty. The love that went into making sure they had a good time.

What makes this property unique

No big crowds here. This area is really off the grid and sparsely populated and hundreds of thousands of acres of state land (remember to leave no trace). Great for all kinds of outdoor activities: Fishing, hunting, hiking, boating, snow-shoeing, X-country skiing, off-road motor sports, snowmobiling and wildlife viewing. Millersburg is known for snowmobiling! Lake Louise is a private no wake lake. There are a pair of loons that are there all summer and a rogue elk herd in the area. Locals have seen them and I've heard them bellowing early early in the morning. Bald eagle nests can be found near Big Cut (Millersburg Park) and lots of white tail deer.
