Welcome to Harbor Haven, a historic three-story cottage offering a glimpse into York's past with all the modern comforts you need for a memorable stay. This newly listed home boasts six bedrooms, four and a half baths, upper-level ocean views, and two enclosed porches overlooking picturesque York Harbor.

Nestled on a quiet, dead-end street, Harbor Haven is just a five-minute walk to Harbor Beach, a beautiful sandy stretch along York's rocky shoreline. Whether you're planning a family reunion or a gathering of friends, this home is the perfect setting for creating lasting memories.

Upon entering the main level, you'll be greeted by a spacious living room, a cozy den with a Smart TV, a formal dining room ideal for entertaining, an eat-in kitchen, a charming sunroom, and a convenient half bath. The highlight of this level is the large harbor-facing sunroom, where you can relax and enjoy the views.

The second floor features four bedrooms, including a grand Main Suite with a California King Bed and a full ensuite bath. Beautiful 140 year old home right near the harbor. We easily walked to the beach and the wiggly bridge. The home fit our family of 12. The sun room is beautiful and over looking the harbor. You could see the ocean from other rooms. The hosts were responsive when we had questions. I highly recommend this home for a big family getaway.

Excellent stay is this well-equipped, well-situated authentic Maine hideaway.

Our multi-generational family had a great stay in Harbor Haven! The home was as advertised - clean, spacious, fully-equipped and close to the family beach (5-10 min walk) as well as local amenities. It was very hot during our stay so we were grateful for the upstairs a/c units. Note that the downstairs only has fans, so they needed to be kept on almost all the time to keep air circulating and some rooms like the kitchen and dining room were uncomfortable at times. Otherwise, the property is outstanding and met all our needs including beach towels, beach chairs/trolleys, toys and games. Quality decoration and art work around the home was warm, personal and esthetically pleasing. It was also nice to be able to eat at the large picnic table outside for several meals and the large yard was great for the kids to run around. Special shout out to the team at Salt & Shine who were always friendly, highly professional and responsive throughout, even when we made an unnecessary maintenance call for an issue which was entirely our fault. We look forward to the prospect of renting again next year!!

Another Wonderful Family Vacation

We had another great week staying at Harbor Haven. The home is beautiful and plenty big enough for our entire family (7 adults and 4 kids). The kids really enjoyed being able to play in the large yard and making s’mores on the fire pit is also a favorite. My favorite place in the house is the big sunroom that has a view of the harbor. Everyone loves that Harbor beach is just a short walk from the house. So convenient and it’s a lovely beach too. We are looking forward to another York vacation next year!

Harbor Haven Delight

We just completed our 4th year of staying at Harbor Haven with Salt & Shine Vacation Rentals. It is our 4th year renting this house through Salt & Shine. I traveled with my husband, 5 year old daughter, my sister, her husband, their 9 year old twins, and my parents. It's a perfect house for a large group or family. There was plenty of room in the house for all of us. We also hosted a few overnight guests throughout our 2 weeks because we still had 1 extra bedroom. That's how much space Harbor Haven has. The only thing that would make Harbor Haven better is an outdoor shower (hint, hint). I only had to contact Salt & Shine once during our stay. My husband noticed a leaking filter in the basement. This was not affecting our time at all, but I let them know. They sent someone over right away to address it and then asked when we'd be out again to properly fix it, so as not to bother us. And at the end of our first week, they sent someone to pick up any extra trash and recycling. It's probably the first year that I didn't need anything specific from them. But if I did, I know they would've responded right away. We look forward to renting again with Salt & Shine next year. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Great Location, Well Cared For, Thoughtful Extras and Organization

Great location in York a very short walk from Sandy Beach and start of walkway along the river that leads to Wiggly Bridge. Quite neighbor, well cared for, charming property. Extras like beach chairs, wagon, sand toys, towel, were thoughtfully organized and a nice add.

Relaxing Multi-generational Family Vacation

We stayed at Harbor Haven for a week in June for a multi-generational family vacation. We had children, teens, adults and a grandparent. The house was perfect for our group - tons of bathrooms, bedrooms, beds, and spaces for people to congregate. The weather was fantastic, so we hardly needed AC, but each room had a fan or AC unit, so it would have been comfortable. The location was amazing - a 5 minute walk to Harbor Beach, and minutes from walking paths that bring you to the Wiggly Bridge and walks along the water. The beds were very comfortable, the bedding was nice, and the linens were great. 10/10, would stay again.

Harbor Haven (Year 2)

This was our second year staying at Harbor Haven. We had another great week and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone traveling with a larger group. I traveled with my husband and toddler daughter, my sister, her husband and twin girls, and my parents. On our second night, my sister turned to me and said "I love this house." She was referring to the fact that my dad was reading in one room, the twins were reading in another room, and my daughter was playing in another room, highlighting the fact that there was plenty of room for everyone. We didn't have any issues with the house during our stay, so I didn't need to contact Salt & Shine at all, but leading up to our trip, our concierge, Katie, was very helpful and got back to right away with any questions I had about items already at the house. We look forward to another stay next year.

July Week

Overall, the house was great. I traveled with my husband and 2 year old, my parents, and my sister, her husband, and her 6 year old twins. There was plenty of space in the house for everyone and it was very comfortable. The dining room table was big enough for all of us and we really liked the 2 porches. It was nice for each family to have their own bathroom. It was a quick walk to the beach. We had an issue with the fridge the first night and the concierge service was very responsive, texting back and forth with me to get a new fridge ASAP. They brought a brand new one the next day and a cooler with ice. They also said they'd replace any food we lost and when we had to throw out the milk, they sent more milk with some extra Maine treats. Overall, we had a great stay.

This rental was absolutely wonderful and worked perfectly for my family (3 couples, 3 children ages 2, 4 and 6). The house was spacious with a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable living rooms and multiple indoor and outdoor porches. The grounds were nicely landscaped with a large backyard that allowed for running games. The quiet, sandy York Harbor beach was a five-minute walk if going on a paved sidewalk. The house offered more equipment that we were led to believe: 4 beach chairs, 2 beach wagons, 2 beach umbrellas, and short boards, plus a firepit. In short a great place to stay.
