This lovely home sits right on the water and offers stunning views from the spacious back deck. The community boasts a shared pool, perfect for cooling off on a sunny afternoon. If you choose to spend your day at the nearby beach, be sure to pack your favorite book and the provided beach towels! Inside, you'll find an attractive living space dressed in cool, coastal decor, beautiful floors, and lots of space. Take advantage of the full kitchen's appliances and counter space to prepare your favorite meals, then enjoy your masterpiece at the dining table with seating for four, from one of the four breakfast bar stools, or outside on the patio for an al-fresco dining experience. The patio is situated right over the water and includes a hammock and lots of comfy furniture, the ideal setting for catching up with old friends or enjoying a good mystery novel. When it's time to wrap up an evening, you'll have three well-appointed bedrooms to enjoy, two of them with water views and patio access and the primary bedroom with an en-suite bath. And with so much to do all around you, you'll appreciate a night of deep and rejuvenating sleep! Mara Laguna is just a few kilometers north of the city of San Pedro. Walk the town to enjoy the restaurants and shops. Marks Shopping Center is within walking distance with everything you need to keep your refrigerator well-stocked. Visit Catamaran Belize - Coral Tours Sailing, just 1.6 km (one mile) south, for snorkeling at Hol Chan and Shark Ray Alley while you enjoy an open bar with rum punch and fresh ceviche. Walk over to Castaway Caye to rent jet skis, charter boats for reef fishing and snorkeling, and even go parasailing!

We felt very well prepared for our trip with the help Lourdes provided. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The locals give you a feeling that they are happy to have you visit. It would be helpful to have suggestions on how to avoid the bug bites

Villa 16 at Mara Laguna

We enjoyed our stay at Villa 16 and found the property clean and comfortable for 6 adults (3 pairs). It was well furnished and in a good location. It is close to the town but quiet. Only one of the patio chairs was comfortable however, so lounging on the patio was difficult. Overall a very nice place.

Great little home away from home. Lourdes was excellent, she answered all my questions quickly and helped arrange a golf cart rental. It was super peaceful on the lagoon and walking distance from a great coffee shop. Had all the amenities you could need, including filtered water, laundry machine/detergent, coffee maker, sunscreen, fins etc. Def will rent here again and recommend you do too! Thanks Lourdes!!

Waterfront home

overall a good experience, good location and easy access to everything you need provided you rent a golf cart. the waterfront is beautiful but full of crocodiles and Iguanas that spends the day on your deck. The ad includes a shared swimming pool that gives the impression that it is shared by 1-2 neighbors but it belongs to the entire area including an entire condo complex. A good and clean house but the ad was somewhat exaggerated.

Well stocked house, but had ants and iguana poop all over

The house was in a great location. Just far away enough from town to be quiet but close enough to run and grab things we needed. The house was not super clean. There were ants in the house and iguana poop all over the patios. We asked for both items to be taken care of and nothing happened.

Diana, we appreciate your honest feedback about your stay. We are very sorry for the issues you had with ants in the home. We ask guests not to leave any crumbs or food out and to wipe down counters as these are very tiny ants that get everywhere once there is food. Iguanas are part of the wildlife of the property. We power wash weekly on the upstairs patio and veranda before check-ins but as the iguanas live there, we recommend guests sweep the patios off as needed during their stay. Thank you again for this valuable information as we always welcome the opportunity to improve. We hope to have another chance to impress you on a future stay!

Excellent Stay

Stayed at #16 Mara Laguna in San Pedro. I booked the trip because we were familiar with Vacasa in Panama City Florida. They far exceeded our expectations. Vacasa assigned a concierge for the trip named Lourdes. Lourdes arranged taxis, ferry to island and rental vehicles. The rental company also showed us where the resort was. The resort seemed modern with a great pool. We had our internet and cable go out, and the Vacasa had the cable company here within two hours to fix it. Lourdes arranged snorkeling, diving and fishing trips, all were wonderful. The property was a great value.

Nice, but . . .

There were many things to like about Villa16 Mara Laguna. Lourdes the property manager was great about communicating, and answered all our questions promptly. The property is gated with a watchman 24/7 which made us feel quite secure. The location was conveniently within walking distance of some restaurants, and a small grocery, and we were able to walk to the downtown area easily. The accommodations were up to date, and comfortable. It is located in an area that is very quiet, making for a relaxing visit. We did, however, have a couple of issues. The master bedroom had an odor that even the air conditioning did not diminish. No one was willing to sleep in that room because of it. Thank goodness one room had twin beds. And, there was never any hot water. This made for quick showers. Overall, it is a decent place with issues that should be easily remedied.

Great location and perfect for a family

We had such a great time! The villa was the perfect size with all the items we needed. It was fun to watch the wildlife outside in the back patio. There is 24/7 security which was nice to have and a shared pool on site that is very well kept. Lourdes was amazing - she was in communication with us and helped us make this trip smooth - lifesaver! All in all 10/10!
