Charming, peaceful 1 Bedroom Mill Valley Cottage

This freshly remodeled semi-attached cottage features a beautiful garden setting in the desirable Strawberry section of Mill Valley. The fully furnished and equipped property borders open space - deer are sighted almost daily! It's quiet and peaceful yet only 6 minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco!

Easy parking and quick access to the coast, Mount Tamalpais, Muir Woods, Stinson Beach, and the wine country further north. The bus stop and shopping center is a 5 minute walk.

Ideal for up to two Bay Area vacationers, friends visiting the area, or house-hunters. We also have lots of 'newbie' grandparents! No worries, this cottage is upscale, not 'funky.' No stairs, steps or narrow mountain roads to contend with either!

Lovely Friendly Getaway

My wife and I found a home away from home for our visits with our son, his wife, and our two grandsons. The property is conveniently located for access to 101 and all the area sites. The cottage is well furnished, comfortable, and accesses a beautiful garden. Chuck and Eileen are wonderful hosts!

peace and comfort

We visited with family in Corte Madera for Thanksgiving and this was the perfect spot for my husband and I to come home to each evening. Very comfortable and quiet. The owner could not have been more gracious and welcoming. Another wonderful VRBO experience for us.

Peaceful space in Mill Valley

This was our first stop in California - moving from the East coast. Chuck and Eileen were hospitable and helpful in so many ways. Their home and garden space the result of decades of careful attention. Beautiful and relaxing space. Allowed the move into SF to be stress free and each night returning to little strawberry was a gift of peace and beauty. Would stay again :)

This Mill Valley cottage was a delightful place to stay in a quiet, lovely neighbourhood.. Quick access to Hwy 101 and to a paved walking/cycling trail to Sausalito and our daughter and family. We enjoyed a perfect stay! The Mill Valley Cottage was so charming, very clean, well equipped, and private. We so enjoyed Chuck's original artwork which adorned the walls...thanks for sharing your talent with us! The location couldn't be better, we were minutes to the grocery, restaurants, etc. And there is plenty of street parking, and in a walkable neighborhood. Perfectly situated, between San Fran, Muir Woods, and Napa! Loved taking the ferry from Tiburon to SF one day! Thanks Chuck and Eileen for an amazing place to rest after each days adventure. Your cottage was exactly what we needed, can't wait to return!

Mill Valley Cottage Getaway

This is my second visit and I enjoyed it as much as the first. The cottage is equipped with everything, the location is extremely convenient, and this area of Southern Marin is particularly scenic. The hosts, Chuck and Eileen, are very helpful and friendly, and I love gazing at the paintings in the unit (many of which were painted by Chuck).. I hope to return for another stay!

A Delightful Place to Stay

The cottage is as described—-charming and peaceful.. as are the hosts. We spent two weeks here and have only positive things to say. The neighborhood is lovely and quiet and the hosts have thought of providing every amenity. In addition, they have a beautiful garden where you can sit and enjoy an afternoon of whatever you desire. The bed is really comfortable and —-there are no steps to the front door. For Mill Valley the latter is really a plus. We will definitely be returning. .

Why they chose this property

It's proximity to San Francisco is very convenient while its setting in Marin adjoins rural open space. Marin County is our favorite place in the world - and we've been almost everywhere!

What makes this property unique

The cottage looks out on a beautiful European-style garden with terraces and a large fountain (see photo). Strawberry Center is a five minute walk with many restaurants and shops. The cottage is almost three times the size of a hotel room with a fully equipped kitchen. And it's been totally remodeled in 2009!
