This property is better than described!! The location is great for exploring Angouleme by foot and for going further afield to Cognac or Bordeaux. The pool was great and the hosts were great. No negatives.

The house and its grounds were very beautiful and David was a perfect host, really welcoming, friendly and helpful. The old house has been very beautifully renovated and it was a real pleasure to spend time there. The pool was a good size, the extensive wild gardens were wonderful to walk round and there were numerous spots to stop and relax in the shade. We slept well in the comfy beds. There was an intense heatwave when we were there but the house stayed cool with its shutters old walls and stone floors. We enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen and playing pool in the living room which also had comfy sofas and a huge tv which was a bonus for watching some world cup games. This was one of the best holiday rentals we have experienced - the perfect place to stay if visiting Angouleme !
