Perfect Cabin in a Beautiful Setting
My family (2 adults, 3 kids age 17, 13, and 10 and 2 dogs) had the best time at The Cedar Loft. I wanted a place where we could stay put to enjoy the snow and this was perfect! The kids loved playing with the provided sleds and snowboards on the little hills around the house, and I loved not having to haul extra equipment or travel anywhere else for snow play. The cabin was easy to get to, and so comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. Next time we come, I’ll be sure not to overpack because coffee, tea, spices, and more were provided. The hosts were very quick to respond to questions before and during our stay. We will definitely book again!

Peaceful cabin among the trees
We had a great weekend staying here. We spent one day kayaking and swimming at the nearby Utica/ Union Reservoir and explored the Big Trees State park. There is also pretty easy access to the North fork of the Stanislaus River. There are some nice swimming ares, but the river is moving fast right now from the snow melt. Nevertheless, our pups loved it. The cabin was clean and well stocked. The deck was great for lounging and our pups loved it as well. It's located in a very peaceful neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again.

Great weather and all the conveniences we needed
Smart TVs, fully stocked kitchen, access to the pool, and proximity to great lakes made for a great vacation. We luckily had great weather and did not require AC and the fans were sufficient.

About the host

Host profile image
We have a 4 year old and love to travel. Inspired by our own vacation rental stays we decided to purchase our own family cabin that we could share with others. We believe a cabin should be cozy and homey but also have all the amenities we've come to expect. After 2 years of operating the cabin we purchased a beautiful home in downtown Murphys and have loved the different option it provides our guests.

Why they chose this property

The Cedar Loft is aptly named with cedar shake siding and a large master loft that provides a special cabin vibe. We're also at 5200 ft which means more snow vs rain when comparing to other cabins in Arnold.

With new flooring, fresh paint, updated kitchen and bathrooms, guests tend to use words like cozy and homey upon entering. The Trex deck is another cabin favorite with safety railing to keep kids and pets safe.

The cabin is furnished throughout with thoughtful details, local decor, and have a few extras like baby gates, pack n play, toys, books, etc.

What makes this property unique

If you’re looking for a true mountain experience that is still close to restaurants, shopping and snow look no further. Guests tend to use words like cozy, charming, peaceful and perfect when they describe their stay.
